Yes, that’s right: ‘My Dolly Week‘ is back! For everybody, who hasn’t been here for the first 70 installments: This is my weekly column, which I had been writing from the very start of this blog and which kind of stopped as soon as I switched to video format. I did however realize these last few months that I was missing a more personal touch in contrast to my more focused videos and blog posts. And that concludes, why we’re here today!
Last week was huge for me: I connected with several friends, went hiking through the vineyards of Vienna, attended a pilates class all by myself (which was so much fun) and when it was rainy on the weekend, ‘Final Fantasy X’ was here to save the day! I now want a Rikku, Yuna and Lulu Pullip so bad…
You might also have noticed that my face is now literally everywhere; on my blog and social media. This is all thanks to my friend Miyu, who did my make up and took my pictures: Thank you so much for everything!

Last Sunday something inside of my head clicked. It is always difficult to pin down the exact moment, when things change. I am constantly thinking about this blog, about the content I post and hope to produce in the future. And with my regular posting schedule I was starting to feel comfortable. This comfortable feeling is dangerous because it also means that you are caught up in a routine that could easily go on forever – and this is not what I want because I want to do and learn so much more! It also dawned on me that this comfortable space was only an illusion because there were certain things at the back of my head, who I did not dare to touch. And still, the more I ignored them, the more my longing to actually face them grew! Continue reading My Dolly Week #70: Pushing Yourself!
Welcome to another My Dolly Week; I hope that all of you are well and are also having lots of fun! Last week I threw myself into new endeavors and am still learning, which is always a good thing. Honestly, I hope that I will never get tired of learning new things ever!
After ignoring Twitter for over a year because I never bothered to completely learn all of its features or how to properly communicate, I started it up again with the intention of being more personal in between the announcements of new posts and dolly pictures. I am still a bit shy and embarassed, but I hope that you like a sprinkle of Kpop and like to know, which films I am watching. 😉 And, the thing I am most nervous about, is that I want to post my dolly pics with Japanese captions, since I noticed way more Japanese dolly fans on Twitter than on Instagram. Please check out my account, I would love to see you over there! Continue reading My Dolly Week#69: Tweeting & Dolly-ing!
Here we are, another week went by and there is no complaining on my side, since the last seven days were filled with enough dolly content to fill my post with!
I turned 28 years old on Thursday and my husband managed to majorly surprise me by taking the day off. This way we could spend the hottest day of the year (literally, not trying to sound conceited) together and get to know these two little girls above: Claire and Choux, who both have been created by Thai artist Kitasin Doll House on Etsy. He gave the girls such sweet expressions that I named them after some of my favourite French pastries; Claire after éclairs and Choux after cream puffs. (And also: I knew that I would use this plant pot from Ikea for my doll photography one day, don’t ever let your spouse convince you otherwise! Ihihihi!) I fell down this summer’s extremely hot rabbit hole. Right now, as all of Europe and so many other parts of the world are suffering from the heat, I got lazy and could not stand sitting in front of the computer. But good news: As it turns out, my fan was hidden behind some boxes with Christmas stuff and I need to share so many novelties with you that I cannot wait!
Ruri-chan has helped me a lot to get out of my summer funk and to enjoy my staycation with dressing up in summery clothes and enjoying frozen treats. While I prefer frozen grapes nowadays, Ruri loves kawaii parfaits to stay cool! Continue reading My Dolly Week #67: Summer Holiday Edition!
Welcome, everybody! It has been a while and I would like to catch up with you all! At the end of April life knocked me down and even though I tried my best at first, I could not roll with the punches or better said, could not keep up with my writing and photography. My personal life had to become my priority, which is why I can say now that I am feeling way better. I have not completely arrived in my normal everyday to day life yet, but there is enough place in my mindset for my dolls now, which I am immensely thankful for. After all, you need the things you are passionate for to feel like yourself!
In the following days I am going to share my new dolly friends on my Instagram (click here!), before preparing a big blog post starring my newbies and also an update with my thoughts on upcoming doll releases. Spoiler: I need to seriously save up some money! >< Oh, and I got some ponies! XD I did not do too much damage, but there is a post coming up and the pictures have already been shot.
I really, really appreciate that you are back! Writing this short update, makes me realize how much I was longing for this moment to get back to blogging again!
Thank you so, so much for reading!
Welcome to another ‘Dolly Week’ post on Komonogatari: Time just flies during these warm and sunny weeks! Last Saturday it has actually been one year since my lovely Ruri by Poison Girl’s Dolls joined my doll family. She was my first custom doll ever and I feel so lucky to have her! When friends and acquaintances ask me about my dolls, I tell them that it is all about fantasy and creativity. If you really love a doll, she (or he) is going to develop a personality. In Ruri’s case, she is pretty much my collection’s mascot and sweetheart. She means a lot to me!
Ruri’s outfit was made by Petite Creayations! Continue reading My Dolly Week #65: Happy Birthday, Ruri chan!
Welcome back, everybody to another ‘My Dolly Week’ post! Life is a bit hectic at the moment, but I have super exciting news to share with you all: I am going to go back to Japan this year for three weeks in December! I cannot even express, how excited I am to experience my second Tokyo Disney Resort Christmas and to go to some dreamy places for the first time ever. I will write a Japan 2018 wishlist a little later on, but it will probably be similar to last year’s with lots of dolly related swag. Right now is also the perfect time to start to keep an eye out for announcements of pop up cafés, stores and shows. I am not-so-secretly always hoping for Sailor Moon events! Unfortunately, the Yokohama Pullip exhibition will be long gone at that point, but last week, we got some more details about Pullip’s anniversary release Etoile in lieu with some more detailed pictures, so let’s go!

Welcome back, everybody! This ‘Dolly Week’ is super late because life got in my way big time, but I am having a bit of air now and we have quite the news to discuss! I also wanted to share my Pullip Marie in her summery dress by ‘It’s MY Caprice’ with you! Marie was wearing a long sweater before, but now she is rocking a mini skirt and short sleeves! Continue reading My Dolly Week #63: Are you ready for Pullip Kayano?
Welcome everybody! I hope that you are all having a lovely long weekend and are welcoming May with lots of joy in your hearts! The last few days already felt like the middle of summer and I am spending lots of time outside in the sun. It is kind of a cute contrast to Miss Mia’s outfit. She is wearing her original outfit because I finally want to start to properly introduce her to you and also because these colours suit her so well. You cannot really see her ear muffs, but they are very fluffy and since Mia prefers to stay warm, everything is perfect! Continue reading My Dolly Week #62: Mia in May!
