The day has finally come: My first video on YouTube! I decided to talk about something that is very close to my heart and is bringing me lots of happiness: My Custom Pullips! Here they all are in one place and I hope that you are going to enjoy it! Thank you for watching and loving Pullips!
Welcome to another My Dolly Week; I hope that all of you are well and are also having lots of fun! Last week I threw myself into new endeavors and am still learning, which is always a good thing. Honestly, I hope that I will never get tired of learning new things ever!
After ignoring Twitter for over a year because I never bothered to completely learn all of its features or how to properly communicate, I started it up again with the intention of being more personal in between the announcements of new posts and dolly pictures. I am still a bit shy and embarassed, but I hope that you like a sprinkle of Kpop and like to know, which films I am watching. 😉 And, the thing I am most nervous about, is that I want to post my dolly pics with Japanese captions, since I noticed way more Japanese dolly fans on Twitter than on Instagram. Please check out my account, I would love to see you over there! Continue reading My Dolly Week#69: Tweeting & Dolly-ing!
As promised, I am eager to show you the new girls that moved in with me during the last months. They are all going to get their own posts, but I cannot wait any longer to properly introduce them to you!
There once was a girl with cherry red hair, who looks like a tiny button. A tiny red button, of course! Her favorite time of the year was winter, since she brought warmth, wherever she went and in 2017 I was lucky enough that she decided to come and stay with me forever! Continue reading Meet Rise by Poison Girl’s Dolls!
Welcome to another Dolly Week! I hope that everyone is having a lovely time, even though Halloween is over! 😉 I was a bit sad at first because the time for scary and cute decorations is over, but now I am free to plan Komonogatari‘s first Christmas, which will be equally exciting for me and my dolls. So please stay excited and let’s start!
Some things in life do not change. They still feel like the first time and leave you completely in awe with your happiness not wearing of whatsoever. This is how I feel about my dolls from María, the artist behind Poison Girl’s Dolls. Two days ago the most precious and prettiest (not to mention earliest) Christmas gift ever showed up on my door step: A little redhead called Rise, who is my warm and toasty doll family addition for the cold season. I am planning to dedicate a blog post to her next Thursday and in the meantime I could not help myself, but take pictures of her next to Mayu and Ruri.
Aren’t those three the cutest?! María was so lovely to include some goodies into the package, of which these lovely Chip’n’Dale dolls were part of! They are part of the Ufufy series, which is finally available in European Disney stores! Great news, especially for doll fans, since their sizes vary from the Japanese ones. We finally have doll-sized Disney plushies available! I am so happy and a big thank you to María for the wonderful presents! <3
When looking at those three, I believe that Mayu is the oldest sister, while Ruri is a very responsible middle child and Rise is the little sister. While Mayu likes to space out after photoshoots, Ruri seems to be saying: ‘Oh, no! Why are Chip’n’Dale already tumbling down…we just got them!’. 😀 You can see all of María’s beautiful photographs of Rise in her blog’s gallery! Continue reading My Dolly Week #37: Seeing Red!
Nothing can properly express, how incredibly lucky I feel today. My second Poison Girl’s Dolls Pullip Mayu arrived and there is this feeling in my chest that I will love her forever! Ruri feels the same way and we are doing our best to make her feel welcomed! A big thank you to María; her talent, craftsmanship and loveliness are truly inspiring!
Dear readers, this is a very special and exclusive fashion post, in which Ruri welcomes you into her world-but mainly into her closet! We were having several photo shoots during the last days and hope that you will enjoy Ruri’s hottest dolly fashion trends for the summer of 2017! Miss Ruri, one of the fabulous Poison Girl’s Dolls, has Spanish roots and now resides in Central Europe. She has no plans to change her home destination ever again, which reportedly brings Theri lots of happiness!
Welcome everybody! Last week I had a really good dolly week! I focused mainly on new outfits for my lovelies that I shared on my Instagram. It really helps me unwind to get somebody a new look and to combine different components of unused stock pieces. My most favorite photograph of last week is this one from Ruri. It was inspired by this lovely beret from It’s MY Caprice that really made my heart jump due to its prettiness. To give her an exuberant French style, I rediscovered Pullip Clara’s fancy dress and Myra’s light pink faux-fur cape. Her socks are the ones she arrived in and I rarely change her out of them, since they have the most perfect mauve color. Since she is on an obitsu body, her feet are a little bigger than Pullip’s type 4 body and most of my shoes unfortunately don’t fit her. I am still waiting for her new shoes and will buy a bunch of obitsu shoes in Japan, but for now she is happy in these Hello Cool Cat shoes, which are a favorite of mine. They come in a lot of different colors and are out of very nice quality!
Another new outfit came for my Pullip Chloi. It also is from It’s MY Caprice and not only do I love all the beads, sequins and beautiful turquoise fabric, its name Ariel only managed to draw me in further. I mentioned how much I am looking forward to going back to Tokyo Disney Sea and my favorite spot there is the Mermaid Lagoon at night! Together with her fitting flower crown, she perfectly embodies the warmer seasons for me. Wouldn’t Summer also be a beautiful name for her? Nothing will overshadow Ruri from Poison Girl this week, even though she only arrived on Friday! I am so happy and she made me see the prior couple of days on a lighter note. There were some struggles with my health, but even though it is something I will have to deal with a little longer, I never lose faith in the belief that everything is going to be okay! If you are in a similar situation, trust my words, work the hardest you can and do your best! It will be fine and you will be too! In my head this is also what Alice is telling Ruri. I really wanted to take a picture of my first stock and my first custom Pullip. Who would be better than Alice to tell Ruri about this new home of hers?! And if you are wondering: Ruri borrowed from Elise’s stock outfit because Elise (Classical Alice) is sporting a new look, which I will share soon. Now Ruri is wearing her familiar clothes again to settle in and hopefully her outfits will arrive next week. (I need to stop fan-girling right now; otherwise I will never finish this post! ><) I love my dollies so much! 😀 Continue reading My Dolly Week #14: Ruri!
Today everything fell in place: I had a day off and my first ever custom Pullip arrived: Ruri from Poison Girl! 😀 I am so over the moon, I cannot believe it! Everything about her is absolutely darling and she has not left my side since she has arrived.
Not only is she beautiful on her own, but she also fits so nicely into my collection! I was hoping to find the perfect girl with a pink theme and well, María is simply the best. I am also extremely happy that the clothes she chose for Ruri have a pink and white theme. Since I am a newbie to customs and customizing, all my stock dolls still have their stock bodies. Ruri has an obitsu because I love the way you can pose them. It is a whole new world for me! I am not in constant fear of breaking her body, when I simply want to sit her down (no noises from the hip area, thank God). Also, I need to get her different sets of hands, so she will be even more expressive!
Ruri’s eyechips are a beautiful realistic looking blue and her lids are polka dotted cuteness with super long lashes! Her brows are one of Poison Girl’s signature looks and give her this über cute expression. I want to hug her all of the time! The face-up in general is so precise and melts into her fair skin tone like a dream. Her blushing reminds me a lot of a certain Japanese make-up style, where you apply blusher directly under your eyes and stop right at the apples of the cheeks. It is so beautiful with the tiniest freckles. The blushing is continued on her nose with more freckles and the carving of her nose is darling. And who can resist those big pouty reddish pink lips?! I can’t! Again, such precise work of a true artist!
I am really looking forward to taking lots and lots of pictures since she is so photogenic! Of course I also got ahead of myself and ordered Ruri two different sets of outfits and a pair of super cute shoes. I cannot wait to share them all with you and I have lots of fun stuff planned. A little hint: When I first saw María’s pictures, she reminded me of a little pink mushroom and by chance there was basically the most perfect outfit on Etsy. 😉 I will link to Marías pictures, when she releases them on her website (they are so good!). Now Ruri and I are going to play some more for a while!
Thank you so much for reading! What are your favorite things about custom dolls?
