The day has finally come: My first video on YouTube! I decided to talk about something that is very close to my heart and is bringing me lots of happiness: My Custom Pullips! Here they all are in one place and I hope that you are going to enjoy it! Thank you for watching and loving Pullips!
Welcome to a very springy ‘My Dolly Week’! That’s right, spring has sprung, but there are so many other exciting and – as the title suggests – satisfying things to talk about, which just feel good! Remember, when I was talking about getting into filming, despite knowing that my beginnings will suck?! I put my money, where my mouth is today and the outcome was a nauseous inducing mess, but it also took away some of my anxiety that I had about starting. I love making stuff up, as I go – which is basically also the story of this blog! Whee! Hopefully next week I will be equipped with a tripod and external mic and I will try again! 😉
Welcome to another Sunday post on Komonogatari! Have you had a nice week? Mine has been a quite turbulent up and down in my personal life, being beyond boring for hours and suddenly pretty stressful with lots of heart racing. That is why I actually called this post ‘Steady, steady…’ because I definitely need a bit less excitement next week, since the last seven days were too much! >< It also refers to the fact that there are so many doll reviews to write and pictures to take, which can feel overwhelming sometimes. Especially when there is no time due to work or the sun hiding from me on my days off. Still, I will catch up with my posts and will try my best to take cute pictures! Ganbatte!
Welcome to the last Dolly Week post of January 2018! When looking at January so far, it feels like so many dolly related things happened that one month feels way too short. >< I also have lots of content for my Tuesday posts lined up, which means lots of cute things in the future! Yaaay! 🙂
The first girl to join my doll family in 2018 is Sencha, a girl whose beautiful face-up was done by Nina’s Dolls. I feel so lucky to have her because I love how Nina gives her Pullips tear ducts and her carving work on the nose, lips and philtrum. It is a very ethereal look. I don’t want to talk too much about Sencha now, since I still want to continue to give every girl her own post in 2018, but she definitely has a goddess of spring vibe. I am so excited! I always feel weird, when there is no proper review before or right after a new year begins. This blog will turn one year old at the end of February, which marks 2017 as its most important year, since starting new things is always the biggest step to take. Many wonderful things happened this year and I am happy to share them with you!
One year ago I did not have any clue about customizing my Pullips. Changing eyechips was a terrifying thought and I did not get the appeal of re-wigging, even though I detected some quality issues with certain stock wigs. I did however start to change them out of their stock clothes, mainly because I wanted my Pullip Sailor Neptune not to be battle ready all of the time and to be able to relax with the other girls. (Imagine all of your dolls wearing long lolita-type dresses and then there is Sailor Neptune right next to them in a mini skirt and bare legs.) As soon as I had discovered Etsy, a new world opened up with that many creators of doll clothes and accessories around the world, there are truly limitless possibilities to get creative!
Merry Christmas and happy holidays from me! 🙂 I hope that everybody is having a great time with lots of fun and yummy treats! 😉
All those pictures from my advent calendar, social events and work really consumed my time the last weeks. I am working hard to get back on track. I switched my editing software for my photographs and am not 100% comfortable with it yet. I promise to do my best nonetheless and am going to go back to writing the latest ‘My Dolly Week’ post!
A little girl of mine is ready to say ‘hello’ today to all of you: It’s Suzume, aka Suzy, who is my autumnal mori girl with a love for nature and green as her favorite color. I was super lucky to score a face up slot from talented German Pullip artist Mikiyochii, who was super nice throughout the process of creating the face up and I could not be happier with the outcome and cherish it forever and ever! Since it was my first time not getting a full custom, I wanted Suzume’s style to be extra cute and fitting to the image I had of her. I am now happy to be able to share the whole process with you around creating my Pullip’s character! Welcome to another Sunday post, the first Sunday post in December, which means Christmas is just around the corner! Are you as excited about it as I am?! Let’s get started!
Welcome Suzume, my little addition to my Pullip family. Her face up was done by Mikiyochii and I had lots of fun putting the rest of her look together. I will write a whole post about her, since she absolutely deserves it, but my idea was a cute mori girl with gold and green eye make up and reddish brown tones. Suzume can also be abbreviated to Suzy, which only makes her cuter in my opinion. 😉
The reason, why this December feels extra special to me, is the advent calendar consisting out of Pullip photographs I am doing this year. Including the close up of Suzume’s face today on Instagram, so far Charlotte, Minka and Felicia had an appearance in their festive outfits. I decided to talk more about my pictures on Sundays, since I can freely ramble around without having a bad conscience. Charlotte (Pullip Myra) is wearing a new outfit from It’s My Caprice, consisting out of a flowy top and cute puffy trousers. I got it almost a month ago, when I started planning my pictures. In the same train of thought, I should mention that doing things like an advent calendar, is so time demanding that I had a hard time to get any writing done. On the plus side, I have only three to four pictures to shoot left, so new blog posts should resume soon! 😀 Continue reading My Dolly Week #41: Suzume & My Advent Calendar!
