My Dolly Week #71: We’re back!

Yes, that’s right: ‘My Dolly Week‘ is back! For everybody, who hasn’t been here for the first 70 installments: This is my weekly column, which I had been writing from the very start of this blog and which kind of stopped as soon as I switched to video format. I did however realize these last few months that I was missing a more personal touch in contrast to my more focused videos and blog posts. And that concludes, why we’re here today!

Last week was huge for me: I connected with several friends, went hiking through the vineyards of Vienna, attended a pilates class all by myself (which was so much fun) and when it was rainy on the weekend, ‘Final Fantasy X’ was here to save the day! I now want a Rikku, Yuna and Lulu Pullip so bad…

You might also have noticed that my face is now literally everywhere; on my blog and social media. This is all thanks to my friend Miyu, who did my make up and took my pictures: Thank you so much for everything!

My Dolly Week#69: Tweeting & Dolly-ing!

Welcome to another My Dolly Week; I hope that all of you are well and are also having lots of fun! Last week I threw myself into new endeavors and am still learning, which is always a good thing. Honestly, I hope that I will never get tired of learning new things ever!

My summery flower girls Ruri & Mayu! After ignoring Twitter for over a year because I never bothered to completely learn all of its features or how to properly communicate, I started it up again with the intention of being more personal in between the announcements of new posts and dolly pictures. I am still a bit shy and embarassed, but I hope that you like a sprinkle of Kpop and like to know, which films I am watching. πŸ˜‰ And, the thing I am most nervous about, is that I want to post my dolly pics with Japanese captions, since I noticed way more Japanese dolly fans on Twitter than on Instagram. Please check out my account, I would love to see you over there! Continue reading My Dolly Week#69: Tweeting & Dolly-ing!

My Dolly Week #64: A Closer Look At Pullip Etoile!

Welcome back, everybody to another β€˜My Dolly Week’ post! Life is a bit hectic at the moment, but I have super exciting news to share with you all: I am going to go back to Japan this year for three weeks in December! I cannot even express, how excited I am to experience my second Tokyo Disney Resort Christmas and to go to some dreamy places for the first time ever. I will write a Japan 2018 wishlist a little later on, but it will probably be similar to last year’s with lots of dolly related swag. Right now is also the perfect time to start to keep an eye out for announcements of pop up cafΓ©s, stores and shows. I am not-so-secretly always hoping for Sailor Moon events! Unfortunately, the Yokohama Pullip exhibition will be long gone at that point, but last week, we got some more details about Pullip’s anniversary release Etoile in lieu with some more detailed pictures, so let’s go!

My Dolly Week #60: Candy Candy!

Welcome to another ‘My Dolly Week’ post; before we start, I highly recommend you to play Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s ‘ Candy Candy‘ in the background, since I have been listening to it on loop since Thursday! I honestly have no idea, why it took me about a thousand years to get into her music, but better late than never – and this ironically also applies to my Pullip collection! πŸ˜‰

My Dolly Week #58: Happy Easter!

Minnie's Easter room!Happy Easter, everyone! Whether you celebrate it or not, I hope you are having a nice little spring holiday! Last week was a whirlwind for me and I unfortunately could not invest as much time into my dolls, as I would normally like to. On the plus side, I started fixing my sleep schedule and ventured out into nature (during the day) to break the bad habit of living like a vampire (nothing against vampires, but it was just not working out for me..)! Miss Minnie welcomes you and let’s get started! Continue reading My Dolly Week #58: Happy Easter!

My Dolly Week #54: Clear Lan & A Wedding Usagi!

It is ‘Dolly Week’ time! I hope that March welcomed you all warmly and that everybody is doing well! Last week I tested out a wonderful clothing brand for all kinds of dollies and we got some pretty surprising news from Groove Inc., regarding two new June releases. Let’s start!

Miss Mayu wearing a new outfit!Miss Mayu, thinking about music! The clothing brand I was just writing about and I completely fell in love with, is ‘Clear Lan‘. It is based in Singapore and offers to make clothes fitting for various dolls and body types. After ordering, you enter a waiting period and its length depends on how many orders came in before yours. I only had to wait for two weeks, before I got the shipping confirmation. But honestly, I would not have minded waiting longer for something that truly fits my obitsu girls! In the picture above, Mayu is wearing two tops from Clear Lan: A long sleeved tight fitting beige turtleneck sweater out of thin cotton and a dark red coloured strappy top on top of it. I just love that their clothes are inspired by contemporary Asian fashion, especially this combination feels like something you could encounter on Korean streets! Mayu likes to combine her lovely tops with a asymmetrical skirt by Jiajiadoll and crimson tights. Doesn’t she look ready for dance lessons?! Redecorating For Dolls: Miniature Luxury!

That’s right, I have taken another step towards my dream dollhouse, which we still don’t have enough space for! In the meantime, it cannot hurt to collect some very super special pieces for the future! It all started with Kathia’s picture on Instagram and immediate admiration for sssDollFurniture‘s doll sized furniture creations. They are totally fit for princesses, being made with so much craftsmanship and love for detail. When I opened my mail the other day, I could not believe my eyes to see something that was even prettier in real life than in the pictures on Etsy!

Who's the bigger cutie?! Continue reading Redecorating For Dolls: Miniature Luxury!
