Pullip meets mascot Funassyi in this collaboration with the funny pear fairy from Funabashi City in Japan’s Chiba prefecture. I had to wait for this girl a long time and am now finally able to share her with you! Now I wonder, whether there will be more versions of this girl in different fashion styles. 🍐✨
Yes, that’s right: ‘My Dolly Week‘ is back! For everybody, who hasn’t been here for the first 70 installments: This is my weekly column, which I had been writing from the very start of this blog and which kind of stopped as soon as I switched to video format. I did however realize these last few months that I was missing a more personal touch in contrast to my more focused videos and blog posts. And that concludes, why we’re here today!
Last week was huge for me: I connected with several friends, went hiking through the vineyards of Vienna, attended a pilates class all by myself (which was so much fun) and when it was rainy on the weekend, ‘Final Fantasy X’ was here to save the day! I now want a Rikku, Yuna and Lulu Pullip so bad…
You might also have noticed that my face is now literally everywhere; on my blog and social media. This is all thanks to my friend Miyu, who did my make up and took my pictures: Thank you so much for everything!
This is going to be a rather quick post, but I think that it should definitely be worth a mention that some of my favourite dolls are going to make a comeback – as well as Pullip Funassyi being available in a super limited number on Pullip Style!
When Pullip Funassyi was announced, I mentioned on this blog, how much I was in love with the whole look, but especially with the doll’s sweet look itself, since her faceup seems to have a nice balance between sweetness and innocence with rather unique and interesting makeup. You can get her through shipping services in Japan, since she is exclusive to Funassyi Stores, but luckily Pullip Style got the okay for a limited pre-order; making it easier for buyers overseas. And yes: This June (or more realistically July) you will be able to see a review of Pullip Funassyi from me!
I also need to point out the return of Pullip Dilettante, one of my grail dolls! She is so interesting with her modern day work outfit, ginger wig and amazing purple themed eye makeup! You can read my review about her here or watch my ‘Pullip Grail’ video, in which she makes an appearance, here!
Then there is Pullip Bonnie: You can read my review about her here and I will admit right away that, while I am not a fan of her stock outfit, I believe that she is one of the most beautiful Pullips in the last few years. I need to take more pictures of her, but every day I am amazed by her beautiful lips and sophisticated eyes. Her making a comeback is truly great news!
Are you happy about these girls being available again? I have to admit that sometimes the second (or third or fourth) round of availability for older releases gets me even more excited than new ones; it’s like finding a pot of gold! (Considering that Saint Patrick’s Day was yesterday…)
I honestly have no idea, where to start. So just let me say that there is nothing, absolutely nothing about this Pullip that I don’t like! Even though I am normally super quick to jump on any kind of bandwagon that revolves around Japanese characters or mascots, yellow pear and Chiba’s representative mascot Funassyi never really tickled my fancy so much that I was okay with forking over some Yen – until now! Imagine my sorrow, when my dreams were a little crushed, when I read that this Pullip is only being promoted as a Japan exclusive release. (Although we must not forget that 2016’s Japan exclusive ‘Le Petit Prince‘ collaboration with Alice & The Pirates also found their way into international online shops…there is still hope and I am not ready to give up just yet!)
