Now that two Pullips from the ‘Optical Alice Series’ have been released, I simply had to put Optical Alice back into her stock outfit again and make a comparison video between her and Optical Queen. Both are amazingly creative releases and I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments!
Pullip Optical Queen is the second release of the Optical Alice series. I was so happy that Groove and AGA decided to continue this series after pretty much exactly two years – which is the same amount of time as me blogging on Komonogatari!
This is, what I call a complete surprise: Two years after the release of Pullip Optical Alice (whose review was my first blog post on here, btw), the long teased ‘Optical Alice’ series is finally kicking off not to be a solo project anymore with freshly announced Pullip Optical Queen! Not only am I surprised, I am also super pleased that my Optical Alice will get a sister, who is more experimental with her make up! This might be a bit soon, but at the same time editing this video just made me too excited to not share right away: Are you looking to gift a Pullip doll to somebody, but have no clue where to begin? Or are you a doll collector, who is a little out of the loop, when it comes to the world of Pullips? No problem, this gift guide has you covered! 😊
I have always wanted to write a post about starting a Pullip collection and to share all the things that I have learned so far. Getting into a new hobby can be overwhelming, especially when it comes to dolls and their many varieties. So this post will be particular about Pullips and hopefully you will fall in love with them just as much as I did!
Exactly one year ago, my review of Pullip Optical Alice, who I got one day prior brand new from Japan, went online. She was the perfect reason to finally create a blog, an idea, which had been dancing in my head for months and went in lieu with dozens hours of brainstorming because I did not want to start under a blog name or social media handles, which I would have want to change after a short while. And there was one more thing: I was scared! Scared of my own writing and photographing skills and even more scared of not finding anybody to share my passions with! Today I consider February 23rd, 2017 as one of the best days of my life because it was the start of me, putting myself out there. I am a strong believer that the more open I am about my passions and feelings here, the more I hope to deliver the message that it is okay to be passionate about the things you are passionate about!
Welcome to another Sunday post, the first Sunday post in December, which means Christmas is just around the corner! Are you as excited about it as I am?! Let’s get started!
Welcome Suzume, my little addition to my Pullip family. Her face up was done by Mikiyochii and I had lots of fun putting the rest of her look together. I will write a whole post about her, since she absolutely deserves it, but my idea was a cute mori girl with gold and green eye make up and reddish brown tones. Suzume can also be abbreviated to Suzy, which only makes her cuter in my opinion. 😉
The reason, why this December feels extra special to me, is the advent calendar consisting out of Pullip photographs I am doing this year. Including the close up of Suzume’s face today on Instagram, so far Charlotte, Minka and Felicia had an appearance in their festive outfits. I decided to talk more about my pictures on Sundays, since I can freely ramble around without having a bad conscience. Charlotte (Pullip Myra) is wearing a new outfit from It’s My Caprice, consisting out of a flowy top and cute puffy trousers. I got it almost a month ago, when I started planning my pictures. In the same train of thought, I should mention that doing things like an advent calendar, is so time demanding that I had a hard time to get any writing done. On the plus side, I have only three to four pictures to shoot left, so new blog posts should resume soon! 😀 Continue reading My Dolly Week #41: Suzume & My Advent Calendar!
I have never been to Valletta myself, but at least I get to show you Groove Inc.’s Valletta set from their Outfit Selection line. My model for this post is Felicia my Pullip Optical Alice, whose complexion looks beautiful in dark navy and red. The main optic of this set is a preppy school uniform that fits a Pullip’s type-4 body like a glove. It includes a headband, a blazer, a blouse, a skirt, kneesocks and shoes. Basically, everything you need for a cute look to play with! Continue reading Review: Pullip Outfit Selection Valletta Set
Another Sunday and time for another Dolly Week, where I talk about all the doll- and sometimes toy-related things I did in the last week. First of all: The secret to Optical Alice‘s head bow has finally been lifted thanks to Angela fom Omocha Crush’s review on YouTube. Finally I was able to clip it on to her head, where it will stay for a long time now because you have to use a lot of pressure against her forehead, which was a pain mentally. Why would you want to use pressure with an object out of metal against your doll’s forehead?! I am not the biggest fan. At least it looks cute! Continue reading My Dolly Week #4
This is the first post of what will be a weekly segment about all the doll related things I did in the previous week. I hope you will enjoy it!
First of all: I finally got this blog started with my first post about the newest Groove Inc. release, which is Pullip Optical Alice. She was released on Amazon Japan last Sunday (February 19th) and they shipped her out so quickly that she arrived at my doorstep on Wednesday afternoon. She is so beautiful in person that it was a treat to take lots of pictures of her in her new home. She is a wonderful addition to my collection and I love how the Pullip Alice-dolls complement each other. I might consider buying missing Alices in the future with Romantic Alice and Alice du Jardin Pink on top of my list. Continue reading My Dolly Week #1
