My Dolly Week #35: The Countdown to Halloween Has Begun!

Pullip Wednesday with CinnamorollHanako and GigiWelcome to another Sunday post on Komonogatari! The 35th one to be precise, which is a tiny little bit unbelievable for me, but also makes me very happy! Another thing that is super fun for me is my Halloween countdown, which you can follow everyday on my Instagram account since Friday. I have been preparing everything for about two weeks and am pretty happy to be now able to share it little by little, day by day with all of you.

Ruri-chan as SherlockAlthough I have this Halloween series going down on Instagram, I will still have my regular posts on Komonogatari. My plan is it to stick to my current schedule of posting on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. I am super duper looking forward to showing you all of my dollies’ Halloween outfits and hope that you will also enjoy my rhymes. πŸ˜‰

While the weather is getting colder, I pretty much clothed my whole collection in warmer clothes, so please look forward towards lots of layering! And speaking of new outfits: Groove announced their second collaboration with the anime Revolutionary Girl Utena in the form of two new sets for their Outfit Selection line featuring Utena and Anthy’s (school) uniforms. Can I just say that I really love Anthy’s uniform? It is so super cute that I am definitely going to pick it up. The turquoise collar and skirt in combination with the puffy sleeves of the blouse will look incredible not just on Anthy, but also on Pullips you already have in your collection! These sets are going to be released in Japan in January and can I just say that I am also really hyped that Groove is finally releasing more outfits for our dollies?!

What was your dolly week like?

Thank you so much for reading!

My Dolly Week #25: mitsubashi@BabyBee – Love

Pullip Alura in Sailor Moon gear!I am a completionist. It is one of my biggest issues, when it comes to collecting. Oftentimes, when I am getting a certain doll, I immediately need to know, if there was another release in direct correlation to my new addition. This absolutely happened, when I first got Pullip Alura (review coming soon), a Creator’s Label release from 2015 with a face-up by the amazing mitsubashi@BabyBee. I started to read up more about her and found out about the prior Pullips she has worked on (there are more Creator’s Label Groove family dolls, but right now I am really trying not to think about them; Taeyang Natsume is so dreamy and so hard to find). My next cutie was My Melody X HEN-NAKO from 2016. I overlooked her at first and fell in love with her in person in Japan and am so happy that I was able to order her shortly thereafter because she disappeared from the shelves since then. Equally lucky were my finds of KΓΌhn (review coming soon) from 2013 and Seila from 2012. Galene, one of the most beautiful Pullips ever in my eyes, also from 2012, followed my family thanks to Ebay. And Laura from 2015 is still available and completed my mini-collection some weeks ago.

All of my mitsubashi@BabyBee Pullips! My customized Pullip Laura!I was itching to take a group shot of my beauties for so long, but I had to get Laura a different wig first. She is so beautiful, but I was always feeling a little bit unsure about her look. After I customized her, I can finally present you my cuties (top to bottom, left to right): Elodie Day (My Melody X HEN-NAKO), Tsukimi (Alura), Katie (KΓΌhn), Wednesday (Laura), Gigi (Seila) and Hanako (Galene). I love them all so much with their dark rimmed eyes and high kitten eyeliner flicks (with the exception of Hanako/Galene). It is also no secret that Alura and Laura are hommages to Seila, but the three other girls also have something in common: Juicy red lips, which make my heart sing! It should not come as a surprise that I hope that we will see some more collaborations with mitsubashi@BabyBee in the future! Continue reading My Dolly Week #25: mitsubashi@BabyBee – Love

Review: Pullip Creator’s Label Seila

Pullip Seila was one of those dolls that I thought I would never own. She has been sold-out for quite some time as of this writing and there are still a ton of collectors, who are looking for her, out there. Nearly two months ago I was refreshing Mandarake and Seila suddenly showed up at the very top of the Pullip listings. I clicked that order button in a complete daze and was fast enough to get her. She was a major find for me and I am still not over the endorphins from this particular Saturday!

Pullip Seila was released in 2012 and embodies the perfect vision of a gothic lolita!
Pullip Seila was released in 2012 and embodies the perfect vision of a gothic lolita!

Seila was originally released in 2012 as part of Groove Inc.’s Creator’s Label. Her face up was created by mitsubachi@BabyBee, who has worked a lot with Groove since then (I already reviewed Pullip My Melody HEN-NAKO Ver. and Pullip Galene) and HIROKO/Daisy-D was the mastermind behind her clothes. For me Seila is the perfect gothic lolita from head to toe. Everything about her is of such high quality that there is no reason to question anymore, why this doll is so widely loved in the Pullip community. My Dolly Week #10: The End of Waiting!

Welcome everybody! It is my 10th week already, talking about all doll and toy-related things that I did in the last seven days. I hope that everyone had a good week and you can also check me out on Instagram, where I like to post daily. πŸ™‚

My three girls are united and look so pretty next to each other: Pullip Laura (2015), Seila (2012) and Alura (2015)!
My three girls are united and look so pretty next to each other: Pullip Laura, Seila and Alura!

Last week two Pullip girls came home and made their way into my collection and heart. Like lots of collectors, I love completing collections. When I was able to score Pullip Seila from Mandarake, I could not help, but order Pullip Laura. She was on back-order from my go-to European sellers and so I was looking forward to her for over six weeks. And, if I have had to, I would have waited for this exquisite doll even longer! Laura was the last of the Creator’s Label Pullip with a face-up from mitsubachi@BabyBee that was still missing in my collection. Laura is the older sister of Pullip Alura and both were created with Seila’s face-up in mind from Pure Embers or Laura, who is a photographer and has one of my favorite Flickr-accounts. I am so in love with Pullip Laura, I cannot even tell you! And I need to redress Alura into one of her Momolita outfits. Still, it’s kind of fun to see her in pastel-colors… Continue reading My Dolly Week #10: The End of Waiting!

My Dolly Week #4

Optical Alice can finally wear her head bow!
Optical Alice can finally wear her head bow!

Another Sunday and time for another Dolly Week, where I talk about all the doll- and sometimes toy-related things I did in the last week. First of all: The secret to Optical Alice‘s head bow has finally been lifted thanks to Angela fom Omocha Crush’s review on YouTube. Finally I was able to clip it on to her head, where it will stay for a long time now because you have to use a lot of pressure against her forehead, which was a pain mentally. Why would you want to use pressure with an object out of metal against your doll’s forehead?! I am not the biggest fan. At least it looks cute! Continue reading My Dolly Week #4
