My Dolly Week #66: Let’s Catch Up!

Welcome, everybody! It has been a while and I would like to catch up with you all! At the end of April life knocked me down and even though I tried my best at first, I could not roll with the punches or better said, could not keep up with my writing and photography. My personal life had to become my priority, which is why I can say now that I am feeling way better. I have not completely arrived in my normal everyday to day life yet, but there is enough place in my mindset for my dolls now, which I am immensely thankful for. After all, you need the things you are passionate for to feel like yourself!

Getting some cuddles with Disney cuties! In the following days I am going to share my new dolly friends on my Instagram (click here!), before preparing a big blog post starring my newbies and also an update with my thoughts on upcoming doll releases. Spoiler: I need to seriously save up some money! >< Oh, and I got some ponies! XD I did not do too much damage, but there is a post coming up and the pictures have already been shot.

I really, really appreciate that you are back! Writing this short update, makes me realize how much I was longing for this moment to get back to blogging again!

Thank you so, so much for reading!

My Dolly Week #65: Happy Birthday, Ruri chan!

Happy Birthday to Ruri!Welcome to another ‘Dolly Week’ post on Komonogatari: Time just flies during these warm and sunny weeks! Last Saturday it has actually been one year since my lovely Ruri by Poison Girl’s Dolls joined my doll family. She was my first custom doll ever and I feel so lucky to have her! When friends and acquaintances ask me about my dolls, I tell them that it is all about fantasy and creativity. If you really love a doll, she (or he) is going to develop a personality. In Ruri’s case, she is pretty much my collection’s mascot and sweetheart. She means a lot to me!

Ruri’s outfit was made by Petite Creayations! Continue reading My Dolly Week #65: Happy Birthday, Ruri chan!

My Dolly Week #64: A Closer Look At Pullip Etoile!

Welcome back, everybody to another ‘My Dolly Week’ post! Life is a bit hectic at the moment, but I have super exciting news to share with you all: I am going to go back to Japan this year for three weeks in December! I cannot even express, how excited I am to experience my second Tokyo Disney Resort Christmas and to go to some dreamy places for the first time ever. I will write a Japan 2018 wishlist a little later on, but it will probably be similar to last year’s with lots of dolly related swag. Right now is also the perfect time to start to keep an eye out for announcements of pop up cafés, stores and shows. I am not-so-secretly always hoping for Sailor Moon events! Unfortunately, the Yokohama Pullip exhibition will be long gone at that point, but last week, we got some more details about Pullip’s anniversary release Etoile in lieu with some more detailed pictures, so let’s go!

My Dolly Week #63: Are you ready for Pullip Kayano?

Marie in her new dress!Welcome back, everybody! This ‘Dolly Week’ is super late because life got in my way big time, but I am having a bit of air now and we have quite the news to discuss! I also wanted to share my Pullip Marie in her summery dress by ‘It’s MY Caprice’ with you! Marie was wearing a long sweater before, but now she is rocking a mini skirt and short sleeves! Continue reading My Dolly Week #63: Are you ready for Pullip Kayano?

My Dolly Week #62: Mia in May!

Mia being fluffy!Welcome everybody! I hope that you are all having a lovely long weekend and are welcoming May with lots of joy in your hearts! The last few days already felt like the middle of summer and I am spending lots of time outside in the sun. It is kind of a cute contrast to Miss Mia’s outfit. She is wearing her original outfit because I finally want to start to properly introduce her to you and also because these colours suit her so well. You cannot really see her ear muffs, but they are very fluffy and since Mia prefers to stay warm, everything is perfect! Continue reading My Dolly Week #62: Mia in May!

My Dolly Week #60: Candy Candy!

Welcome to another ‘My Dolly Week’ post; before we start, I highly recommend you to play Kyary Pamyu Pamyu’s ‘ Candy Candy‘ in the background, since I have been listening to it on loop since Thursday! I honestly have no idea, why it took me about a thousand years to get into her music, but better late than never – and this ironically also applies to my Pullip collection! 😉

Vivi, my Bonnie, with her new wig!

My Dolly Week #59: So Satisfying!

Welcome to a very springy ‘My Dolly Week’! That’s right, spring has sprung, but there are so many other exciting and – as the title suggests – satisfying things to talk about, which just feel good! Remember, when I was talking about getting into filming, despite knowing that my beginnings will suck?! I put my money, where my mouth is today and the outcome was a nauseous inducing mess, but it also took away some of my anxiety that I had about starting. I love making stuff up, as I go – which is basically also the story of this blog! Whee! Hopefully next week I will be equipped with a tripod and external mic and I will try again! 😉

Ruri, a true floral munchkin and MVP! Continue reading My Dolly Week #59: So Satisfying!

My Dolly Week #58: Happy Easter!

Minnie's Easter room!Happy Easter, everyone! Whether you celebrate it or not, I hope you are having a nice little spring holiday! Last week was a whirlwind for me and I unfortunately could not invest as much time into my dolls, as I would normally like to. On the plus side, I started fixing my sleep schedule and ventured out into nature (during the day) to break the bad habit of living like a vampire (nothing against vampires, but it was just not working out for me..)! Miss Minnie welcomes you and let’s get started! Continue reading My Dolly Week #58: Happy Easter!

My Dolly Week #57: Cute As A Button!

Welcome to Komonogatari’s Sunday post! How has your dolly week been? Mine was good with finally giving Pullip Cassie and Callie the attention they deserve and being able to introduce a very adorable someone!

Mia is getting ready for Easter! One of my most favourite expressions in the English language is ‘cute as a button’; before learning that I had never spent a thought on the adorable quality of buttons! And being cute and adorable definitely fits little Miss Mia, my new full custom Pullip from Poison Girl’s Dolls. When she was available for adoption, my heart was literally racing – I don’t think that I’ve ever moved faster in my life! XD I loved her sweet face from the moment María announced her. She is so cute!
