My Dolly Week #6: Lots of Blythe-Love!

Welcome to my weekly post about all things that relate to dollies!

Neo-Blythe Ufo A Go-Go tried living with the pandas for a week! Perfect disguise!

This week I fell down the rabbit hole to all things Blythe-related. Last week I already mentioned that I have not been to the physical Junie Moon store in Tokyo yet and now I found out that there is a brand-new store in the Marui Annex building in Shinjuku, where I actually spent some time last year because this department store also contains restaurants and a cinema. The best thing about this store is that it has its own instagram, where you can check out the beautiful interior and cuties on display. I love what they did to Ufo A Go-Go’s hair. I tried to copy it, but I still have a long way to go how to handle my dolls’ hair. In general my Blythe’s hair feels quite different than my Pullips’. More slippery and greasy?! Pullip Alice du Jardin happily awaited spring!
Pullip Alice du Jardin happily awaited spring!

Another seven days have passed and it is time again for my weekly segment, where I like to ramble about dolly- and toy-related things. There were some quite interesting news this week, when Groove posted again about their Disney Cinderella collaboration and some online-stores started their pre-orders. Even though I am not eager to add her to my collection, this is great for collectors (Disney or Pullip) that want her. She will be out in Japan in April. Continue reading My Dolly Week #5

Optical Alice can finally wear her head bow!
Optical Alice can finally wear her head bow!

Another Sunday and time for another Dolly Week, where I talk about all the doll- and sometimes toy-related things I did in the last week. First of all: The secret to Optical Alice‘s head bow has finally been lifted thanks to Angela fom Omocha Crush’s review on YouTube. Finally I was able to clip it on to her head, where it will stay for a long time now because you have to use a lot of pressure against her forehead, which was a pain mentally. Why would you want to use pressure with an object out of metal against your doll’s forehead?! I am not the biggest fan. At least it looks cute! Continue reading My Dolly Week #4

My Dolly Week #3

Another week has past and I welcome you to the third post of my weekly segment, where I like to ramble on about all dolly-related things. This week I wrote reviews about Ufo A Go-Go, my first Neo-Blythe ever, and Pullip Marie, the latest collaboration with Angelic Pretty.

Pullip Galene
Pullip Galene, my dream Pullip!

Welcome back to the second round of my segment, where I like to write about all doll-related things that I did or influenced me in the past seven days!

This week all I wanted to do was write about and take pictures of my dolls and so I was able to post reviews about Pullip Lupinus and Pullip Cheshire Cat in Steampunk World. I had a lot of fun and just like last week, it felt like I was getting closer to my collection. Basically, I had the sensation you get, when you do the things you love. Optical Alice - the newest Pullip
Pullip Optical Alice

This is the first post of what will be a weekly segment about all the doll related things I did in the previous week. I hope you will enjoy it!

First of all: I finally got this blog started with my first post about the newest Groove Inc. release, which is Pullip Optical Alice. She was released on Amazon Japan last Sunday (February 19th) and they shipped her out so quickly that she arrived at my doorstep on Wednesday afternoon. She is so beautiful in person that it was a treat to take lots of pictures of her in her new home. She is a wonderful addition to my collection and I love how the Pullip Alice-dolls complement each other. I might consider buying missing Alices in the future with Romantic Alice and Alice du Jardin Pink on top of my list. Continue reading My Dolly Week #1
