I bought things for my upcoming visits to Tokyo Disney Resort – that is basically the gist of this video! 😊 At the same time I am also sharing my plans, dreams and merchandise collection. There is lots of love for Duffy merchandise in this video as well! 🐻
It has been quite a long time, since there was a Pokémon post published on Komonogatari, but as my collection is growing, I have to choose wisely. Especially, when it comes to Pikachu. I might do a plush collection one day, but it will probably take ages to do. When comparing pictures with past Pikachu pair plushes, it is easy to see how this new pair, released right before Valentine’s Day, is different to past designs and why I (spoiler!) highly recommend it to be added to your collection as well or, if you aren’t into Pokémon plush yet, to start your collection in general! Even the artwork on the tag is uber adorable! Continue reading Pokémon Center Plush: Pikachu’s Sweet Treats Pair Plush
My most anticipated Pokémon Center release is their yearly Halloween collection. This year’s collection had the simple name Halloween Time and I really loved to see it in person, since it was brand new at the beginning of September. Being the Pokémon fan that I am, I also managed to get some lovely merchandise from previous collections.
Halloween Time Plush
I have a lot of Pikachu plushies and try to stay clear of them for most of the time. Along came this kawaii trick-or-treater in a ghost costume. What I love the most about him, is the fact that he is sticking out his tongue, a feature I had not seen before on a Pikachu plush. And his tongue is even shiny, as are the pink cheeks on his costume’s face. Speaking of his costume: It is out of thin white polyester with a satiny sheen and wrinkles easily. It has a hole in the back for Pikachu’s tail, which is sewn onto his back. The face on the costume’s front has a blue and a green felt button for eyes, while the rest is stitched on. Lifting his costume, you will see shiny pumpkin-themed pants out of velvet with lots of ruffles. They are sewn to his belly. But one of my most favorite things ever, is Pikachu’s plushy Jack-o’-lantern basket with some yummy treats out of felt inside. I feel so lucky to have him! 😀
The second plush I want to show you, is one of a handful of mascot plush keychains that were released as well. It is my first Popplio plush ever and even my first plush of the new starters from the Sun and Moon generation. The feature I could not help, but fall in love with, is his adorable Jack-o’-lantern out of felt as the tip of his nose. He is also wearing a special velvet Halloween cape, which reminds me of Pikachu’s pants. Isn’t this Popplio just super special?! Continue reading My (Halloween) Pokémon Center Haul 2017
Are you ready for more gashapon that are perfect for your dolls and for your (in my case imaginary) doll house?! Then let’s begin right away! 😉
I was so happy, when I found these! These keyrings (the actual keyrings can be super easily removed) came in two different designs with tons of different color variations. The first design imitates an oldschool camera, which looks pretty cool. But I had to play three times until I got the modern looking DSLR, which I really wanted for my dolls to have. Both kinds light up by pressing a button in accordance with a super fake sounding shutter noise. From my experience, I only saw this machine once and it sold out pretty quickly. Also the sound and light effect is already broken on one camera and pretty weak on another, which let’s me guess that they are pretty old. So get on it as long as you still can!
I am always in trouble, when the Pokémon Center announces any releases related to the nine eeveelutions. So it was kind of a shock, when I read their announcement of their big event, which would bring back merchandise for all nine cuties at once. The main pieces of merchandise was the release of the new Pokémon Dolls, which I already own an Alolan Vulpix of. Deciding was pretty hard, but since I love pink and baby blue, Sylveon was basically a sealed deal from the beginning. Since a lot of past Leafeon releases looked kind of derpy, I was blown away by its cuteness and so these sweet creatures became part of my Poké-posse! 🙂
The Pokémon Center plushies from Japan are by far my favorite Pokémon plush releases. The detail that goes into designing most collections is amazing and I am also content with the quality. In general the Pokémon plushies from Japan are much nicer than those you can buy in Europe. Almost every week, sometimes even on several days, are new collections available in the physical Pokémon Centers or online. It can get quite overwhelming, but it helps, when you keep your focus mainly on your favorites.
That being said, last year a new Pokémon generation in the form of games Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon was released and with this release a new favorite of mine: Alolan Vulpix, the snow white version of the original red cutiepie-fox! Since then I try to be up to date, when it comes to Alolan Vulpix releases and started a new collection. The latest release is this Pokémon Doll, which reinterprets Pokémon in a cute chibi-form. Last year one of my dreams came true: After wanting to visit a Disney Park for nearly two decades, I finally got to visit Disneyland Tokyo. But there is not only one Disney Park in Tokyo, but also Disney Sea, which is located right next to it. Both visits were absolutely spectacular, but there was something about Disney Sea that I enjoyed a little bit more-not only from an experience-, but also from an exclusive merchandise-perspective. You all have to know that Disney movies are the foundation of my childhood (especially Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Robin Hood and The Lion King), but I am not very savvy when it comes to lesser known characters. Combine this fact with my inner cat lady and now imagine that everywhere in Japan a pistachio-green colored cat appears in form of bag charms or even as a bag itself. I did not know its name, only the horrendous prices for its merchandise on the secondhand-market. 2016 finally made me wiser: It is Gelatoni, the Mediterranean friend of bears Duffy and Shellie May. Altogether they are the exclusive mascots for Tokyo Disney Sea and not to be found in regular Japanese Disney Stores! Continue reading Tokyo Disney Sea Mascots Haul 2016
