My Dolly Week #20: Custom Week!

Welcome to the 20th ‘My Dolly Week’! I don’t think that I ever had such an intense dolly week like the last seven days! I had so much fun and learned a lot! πŸ˜€ There were also some announcements from Groove about future collaborations and I found a nice way to pre-order this autumn’s Pullips without having to pay for them in advance!

Ruri and her Toy Story poster! It was finally time for Ruri’s fashion post, since I had to wait for some things to arrive and I had a lot of fun to make a faux-diorama for her. One of my favorite pictures, I especially saved for today, is this photo above, in which she looks super proud of her Shinzi Katoh Toy Story poster (which is actually a post card). It is my dream to create more with my own hands and one day make a real diorama for my cuties!

Mayu stole my heart!Ruri’s Poison Girl’s Dolls sister Mayu arrived on Friday and she is the sweetest. I hope, I am not the only collector out there, who sometimes just relaxes by simply admiring her dolls with an absent-minded grin on her face! When I look at them, I feel like I am in a dream. πŸ˜‰ I am in the middle of planning Mayu’s solo fashion shoot and a joint one with Ruri! Continue reading My Dolly Week #20: Custom Week!

My Dolly Week #19: Changing your outlook & revealing why next week is going to be special!

Welcome to another week full of dolly ramblings! We have made it to July and gosh, there was a lot going on last week! In my personal collection, but also announcement wise!

My rechipped Pullip LupinusCan you immediately spot, what has changed about Miss Luise?! If you follow me on Instagram, you will have already seen that I changed her eyechips. You can see her original eyechips in the review I wrote and I still like them, but taking her out of her stock clothes and trying to give her a different look, never quite satisfied me. Along came MarΓa‘s recommendation to take the plunge and change her eyechips. I was super nervous, all my screwdrivers were too thick and I was swearing like a sailor. It is my plan to make a post for eyechip changing for beginners, so not everybody will be as uneasy as me. My goal is to really get into each detail because I was at the end of my nerves. πŸ˜€ You might have guessed that lack of patience is my biggest flaw. I swear, I am getting better at it! πŸ˜‰

Detail of Pullip Luise's new eyechips!Lu is now wearing pretty golden brown eyechips from Chewy Rabbit and isn’t she super cute?! Finally her nice metallic eyeliner is not competing with her eyes anymore. There is also a new wig coming in for her and some other girls. Leeke World had a sale and because I am such a rookie, I have no idea, if I got a decent deal or not (it looked like one and I am happy). πŸ˜€ But hopefully those will be all the wigs I need for a while. Also I need to write up some reviews first, before some girls get a new style!

My Ruri from Poison GirlMore big news! I should probably wait until the end, but I am impatient! πŸ˜‰ A special girl is going to join Ruri and her sisters soon! I will make sure to let you all know immediately because my happiness is going through the roof! Some tears were shed today and my heart was instantly lost! <3 Continue reading My Dolly Week #19: Changing your outlook & revealing why next week is going to be special!

My Dolly Week #18: Summer’s Heat & Fashionable Blythes

Welcome everybody to another My Dolly Week on my blog. Summer is my least favorite season and it really is a shame because my birthday in August is coming up. >< Still, it is hard to embrace my destiny and love a time period that causes me such discomfort. Speaking of birthdays: My fiancΓ© turned 30 years old last week. And we are going to have two parties today, which I am super looking forward to. πŸ™‚

My Blythes in their new kitty rompers!

My dolls are in the middle of moving to a cooler place. It is so hot right now in my living room and so they are all going to live in the bedroom during the summer. Normally, my shelves are always changing because I like to try and spend equal time with each doll as much as I can. Speaking of which, I have not shown my Blythe dolls much in recent weeks. Thanks to social media I fell in love with the kitty rompers from PlasticFashion, which are hard to come by. Everything by them is literally selling out instantly like hot cakes and Instagram is your best bet to catch one of their creations, since the account gets updated everytime, new items are available. I got lucky one day and was fast enough to order two rompers in the span of a few hours. They are made to fit the Takara Tomy Neo-Blythe stock body perfectly and are even cuter in real life. My girls, Blythie Minoru Shiraishi and Lola Akira (I might love Lucky Star a little bit too much), are thrilled to wear the latest Blythe fashion! My Dolly Week #17: Blanche arrived, Pullip Eternal Sailor Moon & Pullip characters!

Welcome to another Dolly Week on Komonogatari! πŸ˜€ This week I have been away for a few days, but that did not stop me from getting some quality time with my dollies and there were some amazing announcements this week, which I am tremendously looking forward to!

Pullip Blanche and Princess SerenityFirst of all, Pullip Blanche arrived this week. I was pretty lucky to get her brand new in great condition, even though she is on a type 3-body, which are prone to be quite fragile and easy to crack especially at the wrists. Two stones fell out of her beautiful earrings, but they were securely sliding around in her box and it won’t be a hard task to glue them back in. Blanche, who I renamed Orphelia, is a stunning release. I cannot help feeling extremely lucky that she joined my family. I already love her so much! When I realised that her outfit had a lot in common with Pullip Princess Serenity, I had to make a picture of my cuties, put it on Instagram and I was quite happy and proud that it started trending under #pullip and made it to second place. I did not write on Instagram about it, but please note that I am very thankful for every support and love to share dolly love!

Carlie, my Pullip Bloody Red HoodActually, the more time I am spending with my dolls, the more they are getting their own characters and backstories. One day I wanted to change up Carlie’s hair and as it turns out, she is the type of girl that looks amazing in two braids. She can even wear this knitted beanie (from KukiDolls) in summer and looks amazing. I never until now knew that Carlie is an artist, who loves to paint, play guitar and play with kitties. We definitely got to know each other better this week! Continue reading My Dolly Week #17: Blanche arrived, Pullip Eternal Sailor Moon & Pullip characters!

My Dolly Week #16: My Dolls are S-P-O-I-L-E-D!

Ruri with a fluffy beret!Ruri in a fancy French inspired outfit!Welcome everybody! Last week I had a really good dolly week! I focused mainly on new outfits for my lovelies that I shared on my Instagram. It really helps me unwind to get somebody a new look and to combine different components of unused stock pieces. My most favorite photograph of last week is this one from Ruri. It was inspired by this lovely beret from It’s MY Caprice that really made my heart jump due to its prettiness. To give her an exuberant French style, I rediscovered Pullip Clara’s fancy dress and Myra’s light pink faux-fur cape. Her socks are the ones she arrived in and I rarely change her out of them, since they have the most perfect mauve color. Since she is on an obitsu body, her feet are a little bigger than Pullip’s type 4 body and most of my shoes unfortunately don’t fit her. I am still waiting for her new shoes and will buy a bunch of obitsu shoes in Japan, but for now she is happy in these Hello Cool Cat shoes, which are a favorite of mine. They come in a lot of different colors and are out of very nice quality!

Chloi is ready for summer!Another new outfit came for my Pullip Chloi. It also is from It’s MY Caprice and not only do I love all the beads, sequins and beautiful turquoise fabric, its name Ariel only managed to draw me in further. I mentioned how much I am looking forward to going back to Tokyo Disney Sea and my favorite spot there is the Mermaid Lagoon at night! Together with her fitting flower crown, she perfectly embodies the warmer seasons for me. Wouldn’t Summer also be a beautiful name for her? Continue reading My Dolly Week #16: My Dolls are S-P-O-I-L-E-D!

My Dolly Week #14: Ruri!

Ruri from Poison Girl and Pullip Alice du Jardin Mint Ver.Nothing will overshadow Ruri from Poison Girl this week, even though she only arrived on Friday! I am so happy and she made me see the prior couple of days on a lighter note. There were some struggles with my health, but even though it is something I will have to deal with a little longer, I never lose faith in the belief that everything is going to be okay! If you are in a similar situation, trust my words, work the hardest you can and do your best! It will be fine and you will be too! In my head this is also what Alice is telling Ruri. I really wanted to take a picture of my first stock and my first custom Pullip. Who would be better than Alice to tell Ruri about this new home of hers?! And if you are wondering: Ruri borrowed from Elise’s stock outfit because Elise (Classical Alice) is sporting a new look, which I will share soon. Now Ruri is wearing her familiar clothes again to settle in and hopefully her outfits will arrive next week. (I need to stop fan-girling right now; otherwise I will never finish this post! ><) I love my dollies so much! πŸ˜€ Continue reading My Dolly Week #14: Ruri!

My Dolly Week #12: Myra and Luise!

Welcome and happy Mother’s Day to all the awesome Moms out there! It is Sunday and time for another dolly week, in which I like to write about all dolly-related things that I’ve come across in the past seven days! My highlight of the week was this beauty:

Myra in a new outfit!
She looks completely lovely in this set of clothes! There are not many stock Pullip that wear red lipstick!

Pullip Myra's stock picture.Pullip Myra is an early anniversary gift that I tried not to open until June, but I could not resist. She was released in 2013 and limited to 300 dolls. Groove later released Pullip Aira in 2014, which is a re-colored version. Their big main differences seem to be the wig, the eyechips, the eyeshadow and lip color. Myra is one of those unicorns that suddenly appears and decides to stay with you. She is pure movie star glamour and I love her face! Her stock implies that she is a burlesque dancer, which is not totally up my alley. I like her more in this ensemble from Pariflora Dolls (her socks are from Belle Magni, her shoes and headband are from Groove)! It completely changes her look! Continue reading My Dolly Week #12: Myra and Luise!

My Dolly Week #11: Home Sweet Home, please come home!

Welcome everybody! It has been 11 weeks, since this segment started and this week my dolly week was mainly occupied with looking into future releases. Unfortunately, there is still no info on future Pullip or Pullip family releases from Groove. I am comforting myself with the presence of Optical Alice right next to me and am still hoping that there will finally be a Sunday post with an exciting Pullip release announcement!

My Blythie (Ufo A GoGo) and Lola (Lorshek Molseh)
I wonder, what those cuties are thinking about future Blythe releases?! Let’s find out!

My Dolly Week #9: Outfits and Boxes!

My Dolly Week #7: Happy Palm Sunday!

Welcome to the seventh Dolly Week post! These are the weekly posts, in which I like to talk about all the random dolly- or toy-related things that crossed my way in the last seven days! Happy Palm Sunday! Can you believe that Easter is closing in?! (I mean, we all kind of have to, but still!)

Alice and Blythie wish you a happy Palm Sunday! Please stay warm and don’t catch a cold!!!

First of all: Komonogatari now has its own Twitter and Instagram and the links are in the side bar. Please feel free to check them out and I will post regular updates! Slowly I am getting the hang of it. Continue reading My Dolly Week #7: Happy Palm Sunday!
