My Dolly Week #53: Nostalgia!

Welcome to another Sunday post! I hope, you are doing well! Temperatures in Central Europe are so cold right now, which leaves you with more time to stay inside and play with your dollies. Even though we are playing inside, my dollies’ wardrobe is constantly updated with more winter gear. Probably because dolls are simply the cutest, when wearing layers, scarves and coats! Sencha being the newest arrival, got spoiled a few days ago with this lovely camel coloured cape from Ringo No Matsuri, which even comes with it’s own white fluffy collar. Miss Sencha is staying warm this winter!

Sencha in casual clothes still looks like a Goddess to me! Continue reading My Dolly Week #53: Nostalgia!

Qposket Petit Vol. 3: Sailor Moon, Sailor Neptune & Sailor Uranus

Qposket Petit Vol. 3Last December I remember running around Tokyo to find the newly released Qposket Sailor Moon set including my favourite outer senshi Sailor Neptune. You might have already read my review on her Pullip doll or seen my past collection in an Instagram post, so it should not be a surprise that I was beyond happy to have found the whole set nine months later in a secondhand store in Akihabara (which still remains the only time I have spotted it since then). The prize was pretty reasonable with 2980 Yen and I should also mention that, just as my Rapunzel figure, those figures were prices in crane machines in Japanese arcades. Let’s get started with some Sailor Moon cuteness!

Sailor MoonSailor MoonSailor MoonSailor MoonEven though I wanted this set mainly for Sailor Neptune, the figure of Sailor Moon is my favorite! Her face looks the cutest to me, her mouth the poutiest and her pose the most iconic. The biggest surprise are the decorations in her dangos, which have a lovely orange red sheen. Her hairstyle in general looks lovely and also the metallic sheen of her jewelry is stunning. For a smaller Sailor Moon figure, I am so surprised by the quality and accuracy. Her face is very peachy toned and she has the prettiest greenish blue eyes. She also comes with a clear yellow stand, which also supports her head in the back. Review: Pullip Princess Serenity (2014)

Pullip Princess SerenityIf you are a fan of Sailor Moon or a silly schoolgirl with a heart of gold called Usagi Tsukino, you are probably going to have a hard time choosing your favorite Pullip version of this beloved character. So far there have been four Pullip doll releases: Sailor Moon, Super Sailor Moon, Eternal Sailor Moon and Princess Serenity from 2015, who today’s review is all about. Even though I am a big Sailor Moon fan, collecting the various releases proved to be quite a difficult task for me, since most dolls come with little stock and higher prices. While I do intend to get Pullip Eternal Sailor Moon in the near future, Princess Serenity’s stock is so beautiful and her face up has such nice details that I could not get her out of my head and she ended up being the second addition from the Sailor Moon series after Sailor Neptune in my collection! Petit Chara Land: Sailor Moon ‘Three Lights’

This is my second post about a Megahouse Sailor Moon Petit Chara release. Click here, if you are interested in the Sailor Moon Yukata Special!

Petit Chara Land: Sailor Moon Three LightsDesign of every stand.Petit Chara Land: Sailor Moon Three LightsAnother limited release from 2016 is this four piece set, which includes characters from the last Sailor Moon season, Sailor Stars, from the 90ies anime. Being a limited release the figures come in a special night blue cardboard box with shiny foliage silhouettes of the Sailor Starlights on its lid. Inside the box, the figures are protected by foam and they also come with their own stands. Most of the time, Petit Chara-stands are designed differently for each individual figure, but in this case, they are all the same. They are a dark matte navy with the golden Starlights-symbol and stars on it. Continue reading Petit Chara Land: Sailor Moon ‘Three Lights’

Petit Chara Land: Sailor Moon Yukata Special ‘Let’s go to the Matsuri!’

Set of Petit Chara Sailor Moon Yukata SpecialToday I am going to share my most favorite Petit Chara release, which is the Sailor Moon Yukata Special. It also has the longer title Let’s go to the Matsuri!”. A matsuri is a Japanese summer festival. The set was released in June 2016 and released by Megahouse. Many Petit Chara series are sold in blind boxes, but nowadays limited edition boxes with the full collections seem to slowly become the norm. The Yukata Special was also sold as a full set in a window box. As the name reveals, all included Sailor Moon characters are wearing their best yukata to enjoy the matsuri to its fullest! Review: Pullip Sailor Neptune

Who says that Luna cushions never come in handy?! Sailor Neptune is a 2015 release!
Who says that Luna cushions never come in handy?! Sailor Neptune is a 2015 release!

Sailor Neptune or Michiru Kaiou in her civilian form is my favorite character in the Sailor Moon universe because she is the embodiment of intellect and elegance. She is a quite serious character and tragic heroine. She is basically the total opposite of Usagi Tsukino, who is my other number one girl (it’s a tie, you see), who is clumsy and has a very welcoming personality. Pullip Princess Serenity is on her way (she is supposed to arrive tomorrow), but today it is Pullip Sailor Neptune’s turn. I have had her for several months now and it has not always been easy. In general you always have to pay more for collaboration and Creator’s Label dolls because there are more people involved. What this means at the same time for the collector, is that you kind of expect a premium product and this is, where some people got put off from the Sailor Moon releases. The most criticism was earned for sailor suits that are made out of pleather and also the dolls’ face-up are pretty minimal, which did not let collectors justify the price tag. My decision was to take it my time with the Sailor Moon series and start with Sailor Neptune to build my own opinion. She is beautiful and I love having her in my collection! S.H.Figuarts: Sailor Moon Crystal Season III

This Sailor Moon Crystal S.H.Figuarts release came out in January 2017!
This happens, when I go freestyle on a figure: Usagi wants you to rock on!!!

If you are new to the world of S.H.Figuarts just like me, the easiest way to describe them would be high-quality action figures. In the past I was somehow always able to resist them, but when the Sailor Moon Crystal Season III figure was announced in the fall of last year, it all changed. She got pre-ordered and finally arrived in January. Continue reading S.H.Figuarts: Sailor Moon Crystal Season III
