Happy New Year! Let’s Look At Dolly News! (MDW #45)

Good evening, everybody! We have less than four hours of 2017 left and I would like to take some time to talk mainly about new releases or dolly updates, since I had so little time to do that during the holidays! I might sound like a broken record, but December just flew by so quickly! All in all, 2017 was a wonderful year! It was the year I got married to the love of my life and my best friend, who reads every blog post, even though he does not collect dolls himself. Furthermore, the fact that I started this blog in late February and Instagram about one month later, which made it possible for me to meet so many lovely people and be lucky enough to befriend some of them, brings tears to my eyes! Thank you so much for your support! I cannot wait to have many more conversations in 2018! Thanks to you, it was one of the best years of my life!

Hattie is a sweet lolita! One year ago I had no idea, how to customize a Pullip and Hattie, Alice du Jardin Mint, probably had no idea either that she would go through a lot of changes, until I would be 100% happy with her look! The reason, why I chose Hattie to specifically photograph for today, is the fact that she was my first Pullip that I ever got. She moved in at the end of September 2016 and is now my perfect sweet lolita with sparkling pink eyechips from Lullaby For Dolls, a blonde Leeke wig, new fluttery lashes (I get them for a few bucks from Amazon) and the perfect dress from Sugar Lattice!

Dolly news! When it comes to Pullips, we did not get any new announcements, but Pullip Style opened their pre-orders for Utena, Anthy and Nanette Erica Ver., which is so tempting! >< I promised myself that I would wait for Pullip Cinnamoroll and Himawari to not get overboard at the beginning of the year, but it is hard not to get too excited that we are spoiled with so many beautiful releases!

Neo-Blythe Majesty of Hearts started being displayed inside of Junie Moon stores and she sure is a cutie! She is not one of my favourites, since 2017 showered us with beautiful Blythe releases, but I still love looking at her dramatic stock outfit! I will never get tired of seeing ‘Alice in Wonderland’ related dolls!

I was writing about Harmonia Bloom, the new doll line from Good Smile Company, a few months ago, but completely overslept, when they started pre-orders for their first dolly, Hagumi, a few days ago! (Blame it on hovering over Cinnamoroll and Himawari to not miss their pre-order dates! ><) Hagumi is exactly the blonde cutie, I liked the most out of all the models we saw from past doll shows. Her price is 27 ooo Yen via the Japanese Amazon site and you will have to wait until the 31st of July 2018 for her to be released. She will only be sold in limited quantities and you will not be able to cancel or put in your order after the 23rd of January. To be honest, ordering her feels very risky due to the fact that there are lots of disclaimers that Hagumi’s final look could slightly defer from the promotional images you are able to see on the internet. Am I tempted? I am SO tempted, but also a bit reserved, since the end product can change without you being able to get your money back! I think, I’ll pass for now!

What are your thoughts on the latest news, pre-orders, dolls? Are you going to commit to a new dolly soon? Are you sceptical about Harmonia Bloom?

Thank you so much for reading!

  1. OMG. I so wanted to order Harmonia Bloom but I knew I should wait until she officially came out and we saw real photos. I just need to see her for real! Dollies are so much fun!!

    1. Right?! That order button was pure temptation! I am really curious to see how she actually turns out and the three new girls that have only been teased by their names so far. But the wait is still so long; dollies are indeed fun and teaching me patience! 😀
