Tokidoki Donutella and her sweet friends blind boxes…and a wild Alura appears!

The Italian brand Tokidoki has had quite some collaborations with Pullip in the past, but I still have to get my first Tokidoki-Pullip in the future. In the meantime, I discovered that Tokidoki also sells blind boxes with adorable content. I ordered three blind boxes from the series Donutella and her sweet friends and while I started to take pictures; my adorable Pullip Alura snuck into the shot. She insisted on being my assistent, while being very persistent!

When you open the boxes, you are greeted with very cute and pretty art work from the Tokidoki-universe. It features Donutella, Dolce (the unicorn), Biscottino (the cat) and Sweet Ride (the spaceship). All of those characters are part of this series. In total you can collect 12 cute characters out of vinyl.

Inside of their box, the vinyl figure is also protected by silver foil (which I did not photograph) and in my first box was teddy bear Biscotti! Every figure has a different name that is connected to sweets and bear Biscotti seems to like sweets quite a bit: He has ears shaped and sprinkled like a donut and carries a lollipop in his left paw. The details are amazing and I especially love the face of Biscotti’s bear shaped lollipop! The paint job is overall really good; just minor flaws on the lollipop and tiny black marks at the back of his head.

With the second box I got super lucky: I really wanted Caramella the most and there she was! Her shape resembles that of a bonbon and there is also a tiny cutie-faced bonbon sitting on top of her colorful striped hair. Caramella’s body suit is a metallic silvery white and there is a cute sprinkled star on her belly. In her right hand she is holding a large candy cane that is made out of a softer plastic and easy to bend. The paint job on her is good as well and those figurines generally have a high-quality feeling to them.

After feeling really lucky with my cute bear and candy girl, I was hoping not to get doubles. Ice cream themed girl Amarena managed to make my day! She is so sugary sweet that her whole head resembles an ice cream scoop with a cherry, sprinkles and chocolate-stick on top. Amarena’s dress is pink and has an ice cream cone in the center. In her right hand she carries a spoon that is ready to munch the ice cream away and she wears red ankle booties that are the same cherry red as her amarena on her head. Out of my three figurines, she has the best paint job. I cannot even see minor flaws!

I am very impressed with the figurines by Tokidoki and also feel that they have the perfect size for my Pullip and Blythe dolls. Figurines like that always add a nice touch in photographs, but are also fun to collect on their own. The creativity behind these characters is something I have rarely seen being done by a company that originates from Europe and from now on I will definitely have Tokidoki on my radar.

Thank you so much for reading!
