My Dolly Week #21: Planning a Wedding and Relaxing with Dollies!

We are now at the end of the 21st Dolly Week and pretty slowly things are becoming more serious, when it comes to the planning of my wedding. Yesterday we were driving around all day to meet with the photographer, florist, baker and owners of the location. Now everything is swirling around in my head and I made notes, as if I was still in school to not forget tiny details like getting the right kind of napkins. The last few months I was absolutely not in the mood to get married and throw a party, but now that all friends of our tiny circle have RSVP’d, I feel extremely lucky and thankful to have the opportunity to celebrate with everybody that I love.

Ruri and Mayu from Poison Girl in their new Nénelle et Lalluli outfits!Ruri and Mayu from Poison Girl in Nénelle et Lalluli!Dolly-wise Ruri and Mayu were the first to model the most adorable bunny sets from Barcelona based Nénelle et Lalluli. Their doll clothes are beyond adorable and I am so happy to have been fast enough to buy the baby blue and baby pink version. The details are immensly sweet and lovely-look at this fluffy bunny tail! I also recommend the brand’s blog because it is so much fun to look at all their beautiful past designs. Definitely worth to follow on social media to know, when anything new is going on sale! My Dolly Week #20: Custom Week!

Welcome to the 20th ‘My Dolly Week’! I don’t think that I ever had such an intense dolly week like the last seven days! I had so much fun and learned a lot! 😀 There were also some announcements from Groove about future collaborations and I found a nice way to pre-order this autumn’s Pullips without having to pay for them in advance!

Ruri and her Toy Story poster! It was finally time for Ruri’s fashion post, since I had to wait for some things to arrive and I had a lot of fun to make a faux-diorama for her. One of my favorite pictures, I especially saved for today, is this photo above, in which she looks super proud of her Shinzi Katoh Toy Story poster (which is actually a post card). It is my dream to create more with my own hands and one day make a real diorama for my cuties!

Mayu stole my heart!Ruri’s Poison Girl’s Dolls sister Mayu arrived on Friday and she is the sweetest. I hope, I am not the only collector out there, who sometimes just relaxes by simply admiring her dolls with an absent-minded grin on her face! When I look at them, I feel like I am in a dream. 😉 I am in the middle of planning Mayu’s solo fashion shoot and a joint one with Ruri! Continue reading My Dolly Week #20: Custom Week!

My Mayu by Poison Girl’s Dolls is home!

Nothing can properly express, how incredibly lucky I feel today. My second Poison Girl’s Dolls Pullip Mayu arrived and there is this feeling in my chest that I will love her forever! Ruri feels the same way and we are doing our best to make her feel welcomed! A big thank you to María; her talent, craftsmanship and loveliness are truly inspiring!

Welcome, and step into Ruri’s World!

Dear readers, this is a very special and exclusive fashion post, in which Ruri welcomes you into her world-but mainly into her closet! We were having several photo shoots during the last days and hope that you will enjoy Ruri’s hottest dolly fashion trends for the summer of 2017! Miss Ruri, one of the fabulous Poison Girl’s Dolls, has Spanish roots and now resides in Central Europe. She has no plans to change her home destination ever again, which reportedly brings Theri lots of happiness!

My Dolly Week #19: Changing your outlook & revealing why next week is going to be special!

Welcome to another week full of dolly ramblings! We have made it to July and gosh, there was a lot going on last week! In my personal collection, but also announcement wise!

My rechipped Pullip LupinusCan you immediately spot, what has changed about Miss Luise?! If you follow me on Instagram, you will have already seen that I changed her eyechips. You can see her original eyechips in the review I wrote and I still like them, but taking her out of her stock clothes and trying to give her a different look, never quite satisfied me. Along came María‘s recommendation to take the plunge and change her eyechips. I was super nervous, all my screwdrivers were too thick and I was swearing like a sailor. It is my plan to make a post for eyechip changing for beginners, so not everybody will be as uneasy as me. My goal is to really get into each detail because I was at the end of my nerves. 😀 You might have guessed that lack of patience is my biggest flaw. I swear, I am getting better at it! 😉

Detail of Pullip Luise's new eyechips!Lu is now wearing pretty golden brown eyechips from Chewy Rabbit and isn’t she super cute?! Finally her nice metallic eyeliner is not competing with her eyes anymore. There is also a new wig coming in for her and some other girls. Leeke World had a sale and because I am such a rookie, I have no idea, if I got a decent deal or not (it looked like one and I am happy). 😀 But hopefully those will be all the wigs I need for a while. Also I need to write up some reviews first, before some girls get a new style!

My Ruri from Poison GirlMore big news! I should probably wait until the end, but I am impatient! 😉 A special girl is going to join Ruri and her sisters soon! I will make sure to let you all know immediately because my happiness is going through the roof! Some tears were shed today and my heart was instantly lost! <3 Continue reading My Dolly Week #19: Changing your outlook & revealing why next week is going to be special!

My Dolly Week #17: Blanche arrived, Pullip Eternal Sailor Moon & Pullip characters!

Welcome to another Dolly Week on Komonogatari! 😀 This week I have been away for a few days, but that did not stop me from getting some quality time with my dollies and there were some amazing announcements this week, which I am tremendously looking forward to!

Pullip Blanche and Princess SerenityFirst of all, Pullip Blanche arrived this week. I was pretty lucky to get her brand new in great condition, even though she is on a type 3-body, which are prone to be quite fragile and easy to crack especially at the wrists. Two stones fell out of her beautiful earrings, but they were securely sliding around in her box and it won’t be a hard task to glue them back in. Blanche, who I renamed Orphelia, is a stunning release. I cannot help feeling extremely lucky that she joined my family. I already love her so much! When I realised that her outfit had a lot in common with Pullip Princess Serenity, I had to make a picture of my cuties, put it on Instagram and I was quite happy and proud that it started trending under #pullip and made it to second place. I did not write on Instagram about it, but please note that I am very thankful for every support and love to share dolly love!

Carlie, my Pullip Bloody Red HoodActually, the more time I am spending with my dolls, the more they are getting their own characters and backstories. One day I wanted to change up Carlie’s hair and as it turns out, she is the type of girl that looks amazing in two braids. She can even wear this knitted beanie (from KukiDolls) in summer and looks amazing. I never until now knew that Carlie is an artist, who loves to paint, play guitar and play with kitties. We definitely got to know each other better this week! Continue reading My Dolly Week #17: Blanche arrived, Pullip Eternal Sailor Moon & Pullip characters!

Review: Pullip Premium Kiyomi Mint Ice Cream Ver.

Pullip Kiyomi in her stockEverybody that knows a little bit about Groove Inc.’s Pullip release history, knows how much Groove loves to bring out recolored versions of their dolls. In early 2016 Pullip Kiyomi Mint Ice Cream Ver. was released, a recolored version of the original 2012 Kiyomi from the Beary Fairy series. Next to being a recolored version of an older release, which had been long sold out, Groove also called Mint Ice Cream Kiyomi part of a new Pullip Premium series. Until now there have been two more Pullip Premium releases, both recolored versions, Romantic Alice Monochrome and Veritas Deep Crimson. My Dolly Week #16: My Dolls are S-P-O-I-L-E-D!

Ruri with a fluffy beret!Ruri in a fancy French inspired outfit!Welcome everybody! Last week I had a really good dolly week! I focused mainly on new outfits for my lovelies that I shared on my Instagram. It really helps me unwind to get somebody a new look and to combine different components of unused stock pieces. My most favorite photograph of last week is this one from Ruri. It was inspired by this lovely beret from It’s MY Caprice that really made my heart jump due to its prettiness. To give her an exuberant French style, I rediscovered Pullip Clara’s fancy dress and Myra’s light pink faux-fur cape. Her socks are the ones she arrived in and I rarely change her out of them, since they have the most perfect mauve color. Since she is on an obitsu body, her feet are a little bigger than Pullip’s type 4 body and most of my shoes unfortunately don’t fit her. I am still waiting for her new shoes and will buy a bunch of obitsu shoes in Japan, but for now she is happy in these Hello Cool Cat shoes, which are a favorite of mine. They come in a lot of different colors and are out of very nice quality!

Chloi is ready for summer!Another new outfit came for my Pullip Chloi. It also is from It’s MY Caprice and not only do I love all the beads, sequins and beautiful turquoise fabric, its name Ariel only managed to draw me in further. I mentioned how much I am looking forward to going back to Tokyo Disney Sea and my favorite spot there is the Mermaid Lagoon at night! Together with her fitting flower crown, she perfectly embodies the warmer seasons for me. Wouldn’t Summer also be a beautiful name for her? My Dolly Week #15: Tired, but optimistic!

Welcome to my 15th post of My Dolly Week! Last week was pretty busy and still I get the feeling that I did not get enough done. I got to meet my best friends and celebrated the seventh anniversary with my fiancé. I am pretty tired and the heat outside is not exactly helping, so this is going to be a pretty rambly post!

Pullip KühnFrom a dolly perspective, I was mostly thankful for all the beautiful dolls I have collected so far. A very special doll is Pullip Kühn. I still have to write up a review about her and so I colorfasted her stock and displayed her in it since then. Although her stock outfit is unique, original and high quality, there is just so much more to her beautiful face and dark brown wig. Changing things up is fun and this especially applies to the doll hobby. I feel that keeping dolls in their stock and admiring them is fine, but now that I actually interact more with my collection to find out, what suits each girl individually, it is much more fulfilling!

Pullip Ruri from Poison GirlIt is still surreal for me to see Ruri in my collection. She makes me so happy and last week she got her first sets of clothes. I am so looking forward to her pair of shoes and hope they will fit her feet. 😀 I will keep you updated, when everything is here in form of a big photo shoot. It’s going to be a lot of fun!

When it comes to using my lightbox, I am still ambivalent. The lighting is great, but I am struggling a bit with the way the backgrounds look. It feels like everythings needs more character. It would be super helpful to get some feedback; what do you guys think of the picture of Elodie above?! Continue reading My Dolly Week #15: Tired, but optimistic!
