Mei’s Musings #2: Ufufufuuu~fy!

It is already the second installment of Mei’s Musings and I have to say; it is quite flattering that people are interested in what I have to say! πŸ˜€

Mei in a bunny hoodie, pyon!So flattering even that I am wearing a new sweater today. I was craving pastel pink for the end of summer and can never resist a touch of cuteness and whimsy. Why just wear a cute bunny living inside a donut with lilac frosting on your shirt, when you can become a bunny yourself?! I got it from Cyristine Creations on Etsy, who has the cutest pastel fairy kei clothes for girls like me. As a special bonus, my white shorts by Culture Japan are the perfect fit. I am still waiting for some socks to complete my look. Continue reading Mei’s Musings #2: Ufufufuuu~fy!

My Dolly Week#69: Tweeting & Dolly-ing!

Welcome to another My Dolly Week; I hope that all of you are well and are also having lots of fun! Last week I threw myself into new endeavors and am still learning, which is always a good thing. Honestly, I hope that I will never get tired of learning new things ever!

My summery flower girls Ruri & Mayu! After ignoring Twitter for over a year because I never bothered to completely learn all of its features or how to properly communicate, I started it up again with the intention of being more personal in between the announcements of new posts and dolly pictures. I am still a bit shy and embarassed, but I hope that you like a sprinkle of Kpop and like to know, which films I am watching. πŸ˜‰ And, the thing I am most nervous about, is that I want to post my dolly pics with Japanese captions, since I noticed way more Japanese dolly fans on Twitter than on Instagram. Please check out my account, I would love to see you over there! Continue reading My Dolly Week#69: Tweeting & Dolly-ing!

My Dolly Week #68: A Bouquet of Pullips!

Here we are, another week went by and there is no complaining on my side, since the last seven days were filled with enough dolly content to fill my post with!

Claire & Choux, a bouquet of Pullips!Sisters, forever united!I turned 28 years old on Thursday and my husband managed to majorly surprise me by taking the day off. This way we could spend the hottest day of the year (literally, not trying to sound conceited) together and get to know these two little girls above: Claire and Choux, who both have been created by Thai artist Kitasin Doll House on Etsy. He gave the girls such sweet expressions that I named them after some of my favourite French pastries; Claire after Γ©clairs and Choux after cream puffs. (And also: I knew that I would use this plant pot from Ikea for my doll photography one day, don’t ever let your spouse convince you otherwise! Ihihihi!) Review: Pullip Outfit Selection Capri Picnic Look Set

Sencha, wearing the Capri setUnfortunately there are not that many official Pullip outfit sets around anymore, but one that I am still seeing here and there, is Groove’s ‘Capri Picnic Look Set’ from their Outfit Selection line. It took me some time to add it to my dollies’ closet, but in the end I am glad that I did. Let’s dive into the post for this super season appropriate and darling Pullip ensemble starring Miss Sencha! My Dolly Week #52: Doggies and some Matcha!

Pastels look so nice on Ruri!Happy 'Year of the Dog'!Happy Sunday and happy Lunar New Year to everybody who is celebrating! Since everybody has safely arrived in the ‘Year of the Dog’ now, Ruri could not let the chance drop to dress up like a cute little puppy! She is wearing a hat, which arrived last week and was a little rainbow in a pretty bad week (especially last Wednesday, ugh!). It is my second helmet by Dr. Rabbitland on Etsy and again, I am completely smitten with the look and quality. Her hats are originally designed for Blythes, but I like how they look on my Pullips! The puppy hat has such a lovely pastel lilac colour and plushy pink ears. It is so, so cute and really suits Ruri’s pink wig! Ruri is also wearing an ensemble by Atelier Milabrocc consisting out of a pastel lilac knit sweater and a pleated skirt with suspenders. What a doll! My Dolly Week #51: Steady, steady…

Welcome to another Sunday post on Komonogatari! Have you had a nice week? Mine has been a quite turbulent up and down in my personal life, being beyond boring for hours and suddenly pretty stressful with lots of heart racing. That is why I actually called this post ‘Steady, steady…’ because I definitely need a bit less excitement next week, since the last seven days were too much! >< It also refers to the fact that there are so many doll reviews to write and pictures to take, which can feel overwhelming sometimes. Especially when there is no time due to work or the sun hiding from me on my days off. Still, I will catch up with my posts and will try my best to take cute pictures! Ganbatte!

Meet Sencha by Nina’s Dolls!

Pullip Sencha was a wonderful way to start the new year and is my first Pullip addition of 2018. She was created by extremely talented Nina from Nina’s Dolls, who has her own distinctive style, which I have been admiring for a while, when looking at her dolls owned by lucky fellow collectors. She does not take commissions at the moment, but I highly recommend a visit to her Facebook page or Instagram to keep an eye out for future customs and to admire all of her many different creations!

Beautiful Pullip Sencha Continue reading Meet Sencha by Nina’s Dolls!

My Dolly Week #44: Christmas Festivities and Their Consequences!

Welcome to the 44th Dolly Week and let me tell you: Celebrating with my family and all of my dolls swallowed all of my energy! I am still recovering. Especially my dolls look like the sweetest cuties, but they are such party animals in real life! I am a bit afraid of what New Year’s Eve will look like! Yikes! πŸ˜€ Furthermore, I am working through the holidays this year and I was so tired yesterday that I completely overslept. Thankfully, I did not get up to late, but you can imagine that I am not the best version of myself right now! >< But(!): I am SO excited to make more dolly content! It is a bit weird to me that I am not uploading daily anymore on my Instagram, but I still have some pictures up my sleeve and want to do a nice photoshoot for New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day!

My Poison Girls Mayu, Rise & RuriOn Christmas Eve I wanted to share this picture of my Poison Girl cuties, who are wearing some of my favorite outfits and Mayu and Ruri are carrying Christmas handbags from La Prinfresa. I simply love Rudolph and the little Christmas tree. Their quality is out of this world and the details are simply so nice! I will use them every year from now on and I also saw online that they look so nice as ornaments on dolly sized trees! If that does not sound like a good investment, I truly do not know, what is! πŸ˜‰ Continue reading My Dolly Week #44: Christmas Festivities and Their Consequences!

Meet Pullip Suzume with a Face Up by Mikiyochii: How to Style a Pullip around her Custom Face Up!

Pullip SuzumeA little girl of mine is ready to say ‘hello’ today to all of you: It’s Suzume, aka Suzy, who is my autumnal mori girl with a love for nature and green as her favorite color. I was super lucky to score a face up slot from talented German Pullip artist Mikiyochii, who was super nice throughout the process of creating the face up and I could not be happier with the outcome and cherish it forever and ever! Since it was my first time not getting a full custom, I wanted Suzume’s style to be extra cute and fitting to the image I had of her. I am now happy to be able to share the whole process with you around creating my Pullip’s character! My Dolly Week #42: Taking a Breather (but not without Dolls)!

Welcome to another My Dolly Week post, which I normally post on Sundays, but let me tell you: Last week I was so not up for it! I had no problem keeping up with my advent calendar, but for blogging it just didn’t seem right. i just couldn’t do it and felt bad all throughout the week. And for no particular reason either, but having times like these is only natural, I guess. One thing I did do, was organizing my doll collection and planning some customizations. I am also still learning how to paint face ups. I am improving, but am not ready to share them yet. I absolutely love the mocha kits, the complexion looks so beautiful, and I cannot wait to be content enough with my skills to add a mocha Pullip to my collection!

Rise by Poison Girl's Dolls in her Snow White dress.Coming back to my advent calendar, something I was saving for weeks, was Rise’s Snow White dress from It’s My Caprice. I am getting repetitive, when it comes to my admiration for Michelle’s work, but her dresses are little pieces of art, which I could never get tired of. The fact that she was able to interpret Snow White’s classical dress from the Disney movie into a more luxurious version, makes my heart sing everytime I look at Rise and her cute little face. I love the white collar out of lace so much and every detail on the hemline. Can you tell, how happy I am! >< I sure am a fangirl for everything Pullip and Pullip fashion! There will be more pictures with ‘Snow White with the Red Hair’ because fairytale motives make me happy! πŸ˜€ Continue reading My Dolly Week #42: Taking a Breather (but not without Dolls)!
