More Perfect Gashapon For Your Dolls!

Are you ready for more gashapon that are perfect for your dolls and for your (in my case imaginary) doll house?! Then let’s begin right away! πŸ˜‰

Camera Keyrings

Charlotte with an oldschool camera.Back of gashapon camera.Gashapon cameras.Gashapon Cameras.I was so happy, when I found these! These keyrings (the actual keyrings can be super easily removed) came in two different designs with tons of different color variations. The first design imitates an oldschool camera, which looks pretty cool. But I had to play three times until I got the modern looking DSLR, which I really wanted for my dolls to have. Both kinds light up by pressing a button in accordance with a super fake sounding shutter noise. From my experience, I only saw this machine once and it sold out pretty quickly. Also the sound and light effect is already broken on one camera and pretty weak on another, which let’s me guess that they are pretty old. So get on it as long as you still can!

Wig Haul #1: Leeke World & MIO

Pullip Elise with new wigWhen I started collecting Pullips, I was sure that I was never going to change them out of their stocks. Little did I know, how much fun lies in customizing and how much creativity is truly involved for a cute result. Today I want to show you the first wigs that I got for my Pullips. I got five wigs from Korean retailer Leeke World and one from Groove’s own MIO line. All Leeke World wigs in this post are in the size 8-9 inches! Continue reading Wig Haul #1: Leeke World & MIO

My Dolly Week #27: MIO Dreams Came True!

Welcome, dear readers! We have now passed the six months mark and I want to express my gratitude to everybody, who likes to read my musings and likes my pictures! There will be a lot more fun content in the future, I promise! πŸ˜‰

Theodora in front of 2 MIO kits.Last week was super exciting: My fiancΓ© (who will be my husband in less than a week, time flies) gave me two MIO kits for my birthday. They are natural (skin toned) ones, which just got restocked on Pullipstyle. Even though they had to ship them all the way to Europe, everything went so nice and smoothly that I am a complete Pullipstyle convert now! Also, I cannot wait to paint my own face-ups. I will try to accept, how much I am going to suck at first, but I am sure, it is going to be a lot of fun! πŸ˜€ There is probably no time at all to start my projects before my honeymoon, but I already am working on my two new future girls’ concepts and hope to be able to translate it from paper into cute Pullips.

Stock photo of Pullip Nina.Equally exciting is the fact that 2006’s Pullip Nina will join my collection. I was checking listings on her for a while, but this week the prize for a NRFB doll suddenly dropped and now she is my next grail girl. I am so looking forward to her. She is already in customs and will arrive in a day or two. πŸ˜€ Hopefully, she will be okay and of course I am going to share my joy with all of you! πŸ˜‰ Sharing dolly joy is so wonderful and my favorite thing about this hobby: It is so lovely to be excited for each other!

Hattie in front of a stream.Hattie with donkey Apollo. On Friday we took Miss Hattie on a trip to my friend’s hometown, where we were able to meet her donkey Apollo and her sister’s French bulldog Emma. We spent the whole day playing and I was positively exhausted. I took lots of pictures of Hattie and enjoyed my first experience of outside dolly photography. It is so cute to fit a Pullip into scenery, which I am absolutely positive will also be the case with different dollies. That’s why I also want to take some pictures in Japan with some new dolly friends that might cross my path. So please look forward to my future photographs! πŸ˜€ Continue reading My Dolly Week #27: MIO Dreams Came True!

My Dolly Week #24: ‘A Mad Tea Party’

Welcome to the 24th edition of My Dolly Week, which is my weekly Sunday post and this time I can show you some more finished mini-projects, which I really loved doing! πŸ˜€

My scene of 'A Mad Tea Party'!As we all know, Groove has an obsession with Alice in Wonderland and I wanted to make a little photoshooting session with my three latest cuties, who just got ready with their customization. I decided on the chapter A Mad Tea Party, which is one of my favorites. Continue reading My Dolly Week #24: ‘A Mad Tea Party’

My Dolly Week #23: New Header, Feeling Fresh!

Welcome to My Dolly Week! I am not going to lie: Due to the many things that have to be done before my wedding, I am lucky, if I can sqeeze in a little bit of dolly time during the day. Our wedding is going to be pretty small, so I have no idea how other people are handling more guests-no wonder wedding planners are in such high demand! >< It definitely hurts to have my blog sit on the backburner a little bit, but the pressure lessens, the more we can cross of our list. This week I have finally found my dress and we also got my fiancΓ©’s suit. At least there is no wondering anymore, if we will ever find something we like. And: Men have it so much easier, it’s crazy!

My Poison Girl cuties from today's photoshoot!Mayu in her new hat!Nonetheless, there were some awesome dolly moments, when Mayu’s new kitten hat from Juja Shop arrived in the mail all the way from Russia. I discovered them through MarΓa and the craftsmanship is no joke! It fits so perfectly, the mohair wool feels so nice and it immediately transforms your doll into a sweet kitty cat! She also has the most amazing hats for Blythes-those watermelon hats, I tell you! <3 I also hope that you like this rosy photograph of Ruri and Mayu and the new blog header. We are almost six months in and I wanted a slight change! πŸ™‚

Alice du Jardin Mint with new eyechips!Classical Alice with new eyechips!Customizing my stock dolls is also really taking over. I ordered eyechips from Lullaby for Dolls and loved playing around with them. Elise (Pullip Classical Alice) is currently wearing Menthe Glaciale, while Alice (Pullip Alice du Jardin Mint Ver.) is wearing Minuit. I haven’t figured out their outfits yet, but I was so happy that the weather had cooled off for a few days that Alice got my version of a Pride & Prejudice look. There will be some more playing around next week, I promise! Continue reading My Dolly Week #23: New Header, Feeling Fresh!

My Dolly Week #14: Ruri!

Ruri from Poison Girl and Pullip Alice du Jardin Mint Ver.Nothing will overshadow Ruri from Poison Girl this week, even though she only arrived on Friday! I am so happy and she made me see the prior couple of days on a lighter note. There were some struggles with my health, but even though it is something I will have to deal with a little longer, I never lose faith in the belief that everything is going to be okay! If you are in a similar situation, trust my words, work the hardest you can and do your best! It will be fine and you will be too! In my head this is also what Alice is telling Ruri. I really wanted to take a picture of my first stock and my first custom Pullip. Who would be better than Alice to tell Ruri about this new home of hers?! And if you are wondering: Ruri borrowed from Elise’s stock outfit because Elise (Classical Alice) is sporting a new look, which I will share soon. Now Ruri is wearing her familiar clothes again to settle in and hopefully her outfits will arrive next week. (I need to stop fan-girling right now; otherwise I will never finish this post! ><) I love my dollies so much! πŸ˜€ Continue reading My Dolly Week #14: Ruri!

Review: Pullip Alice du Jardin Mint Ver.

Pullip Alice du Jardin Mint is a release from 2012 and one of the most popular!
Pullip Alice du Jardin Mint is a release from 2012 and one of the most popular!

The mint version of Pullip Alice du Jardin (the pink Alice du Jardin is the original) is a 2012 release and extremely popular among collectors, which is probably the reason why Groove Inc. is still producing both versions as of this writing. She was my first Pullip and holds a very special place in my heart. I even cried, when she arrived because I was so happy to finally own a Pullip! Welcome to the seventh Dolly Week post! These are the weekly posts, in which I like to talk about all the random dolly- or toy-related things that crossed my way in the last seven days! Happy Palm Sunday! Can you believe that Easter is closing in?! (I mean, we all kind of have to, but still!)

My Dolly Week #5

Pullip Alice du Jardin happily awaited spring!
Pullip Alice du Jardin happily awaited spring!

Another seven days have passed and it is time again for my weekly segment, where I like to ramble about dolly- and toy-related things. There were some quite interesting news this week, when Groove posted again about their Disney Cinderella collaboration and some online-stores started their pre-orders. Even though I am not eager to add her to my collection, this is great for collectors (Disney or Pullip) that want her. She will be out in Japan in April. Continue reading My Dolly Week #5
