Review: Pullip Premium Kiyomi Mint Ice Cream Ver.

Pullip Kiyomi in her stockEverybody that knows a little bit about Groove Inc.’s Pullip release history, knows how much Groove loves to bring out recolored versions of their dolls. In early 2016 Pullip Kiyomi Mint Ice Cream Ver. was released, a recolored version of the original 2012 Kiyomi from the Beary Fairy series. Next to being a recolored version of an older release, which had been long sold out, Groove also called Mint Ice Cream Kiyomi part of a new Pullip Premium series. Until now there have been two more Pullip Premium releases, both recolored versions, Romantic Alice Monochrome and Veritas Deep Crimson.

Kiyomi's face upKiyomi means cute in Korean and when you look at this lovely Lady, it is out of the question that she absolutely lives up to her name. She is a fluffy cutie and a stunning Pullip! Her eyechips are one of my favorite stock chips: They are pink with glitters inside of them. There are also three white dots and one pink dot on them. Kiyomi, indeed! The makeup on the eyes looks subtle at first, but after inspecting it closer, you see how much thought actually went into her design. Her dark brown eyeliner is the most eyecatching detail. It is drawn along her upper lashline and its flick is going downwards, giving her puppydog eyes. It is also drawn on her upper waterline and on the middle and outer third of her lower lashline. Kiyomi’s lower waterline is colored in a light fleshy pink, which can also be found in the inner corners of her eyes with a little hint of pink eyeshadow directly at the beginning of the lower lashline. Her drawn on lashes on the lower lashline are light brown with some white lashes in between, which makes them pop! On the upper lashline there are only a few light brown lashes drawn on at the outer quarter of her eyes. Above her lashline she is wearing light brown eyeshadow and her crease is detailed in dark brown, white and a little bit of pinkish lilac at the highest point.

Kiyomi's EyelidsKiyomi’s eyelids are kept natural with glossy black liner. Keeping up with her natural look, are her thick blonde eyebrows, which blend in really nicely. I love them! I also love her glossy lips, which are light pink in the middle. So, so sweet and her look is complete with a touch of light pink blush under her cheekbones.

Kiyomi's wigback of Kiyomi's wigHer wig is, again, one of my favorite stock wigs. It is super long and wavy. The outer layer is a light platinum blonde and the inner layer is a golden blonde. Her hair is parted in the middle and there are no bangs in the front. The wig feels so nice, full and there is no wig cap to be seen! It is not as thick in the back as it is in the front, but this is pure cherry picking now, since it still looks good and easier to get to the eye mechanism.

Kiyomi in her fluffy hatKiyomi is ready for the cuddliest sleepover in her cute stock clothes! Starting with her enormous fluffy bunny hat, everything is out of the highest quality! It is in a beautiful pale mint color and it is stuffed inside, which helps keeping its form and makes it very soft. The overall fabric on the outside is out of mint plush, only the insides of the ears are yellow and decorated with pink hearts and mint stars. There is wire inside of the ears, which can be bent in any bunny ear form of your choice. Under the right bunny ear, there is a big bow with a light mint pompom out of plush in its middle. The bow itself is out of pastel purple colored fleece with a layer out of lilac tulle facing the front. It also has light turquoise lace around its edges. The inner lining of the hat is out of pastel turquoise cotton with white polka dots and you can secure the hat under your doll’s chin with a press stud.

Kiyomi's scarfMy favorite piece of Kiyomi’s clothing is her pink terry cloth bunny scarf with two tiny white bunnies, which resemble the smallest Totoros a lot! Their eyes are two black beads and there is also a darling baby pink bow out of ribbon on them. Aren’t their blushing cheeks also super cute?! And even the scarf itself has bunny ears on both ends.

Kiyomi's hoodyTo prevent getting cold, Kiyomi comes with her light purple fleece hoody. Like most Pullip clothes the hood will never fit on her head, but looks really cute. There is also a white zipper in the hood’s middle, turning it into a kind of cape. The inside of the hood is out of light purple terry cloth, while the inside of the cardigan is not lined at all. There are no buttons to close it.

Kiyomi's apronOn top of her comfy outfit, Kiyomi is wearing a super light apron out of light purple and white tulle. It is tied behind her neck and her waist with baby pink ribbons. The apron is decorated with white lace around the waist- and the hemline. In the middle of the white lace on the hemline, there is a bow out of light turquoise ribbon, which has a light blue pompom on each end. There are also two light blue bows out of tulle on the left and right side on the white lacey hemline.

Under the apron she is wearing a light pink ripped cotton t-shirt with light yellow polka dots. There is tiny white lace going all around the collar and at the end of the sleeves and at the bottom, there is silver lace with sparkling green threads, which makes this shirt so cute!

She is also wearing a skirt out of tulle. It has white lace at the top, it’s the same as the top of the t-shirt, and commences with white tulle and white polka dots. It then continues in two layers with baby pink ribbon going all around its top. The first layer is out of white tulle with silver glitter polka dots and light turquoise lace at the bottom. The second layer is out of light purple tulle with turquoise lace at the bottom. The skirt has a lot of volume and ruffles.

Kiyomi's PJ'sUnder her skirt, Kiyomi is wearing this super cute shorts out of mint colored plush. You can totally simplify her outfit just wearing the t-shirt and shorts, making it a cute summery sleeping ensemble. I am very intrigued with Groove’s color choices. The theme is perfectly executed!

Kiyomi's yocks and slippersFinally, she is wearing these cute minty cotton knee socks with light yellow polka dots and white lace on top. Kiyomi is having a relaxing night in and does not need outdoor shoes. She is wearing adorable terry cloth slippers, which are light purple on the outer halves and light mint on the insides. They each have a yellow felt macaron on top with a mint colored bow out of ribbon and a tiny pearl in its middle.

Kiyomi twinkingKiyomi is definitely a classic in Pullip history and I am so glad to have had the chance to get a recolored Kiyomi myself with last year’s release. Right now, it is written in the stars, if there will ever be another Pullip Premium release, but I bet that I am not the only one, who would love to get some other long sold out Pullip dolls into her collection. Please check out Kiyomi, she is just such a pretty release, looks great in all kinds of different clothes and her stock is one of the best, if you are a fan of all things cute! πŸ˜€

Are you a fan of 2016’s Kiyomi or do you prefer the original version from 2012? Thank you so much for reading!
