Pullip Chloi is, like her twin Clara, a Doll Carnival 2010 limited release. There are only 600 of her!

Last week I wrote about Groove’s 2010 limited Pullip release Clara and today it is time for her twin sister Chloi. Like Clara, Chloi also had the limited number of 600 pieces and was a special Doll Carnival Pullip. I bought both twins from Mandarake Japan, where rare dolls tend to show up once in a while.

one of my favorites, since I am an orange and green lover!
Pullip Chloi’s Face-Up is one of my favorites!

Pullip Chloi’s color scheme is a fresh grass green, which sets her apart from all the other Pullip I own. I have a soft spot for green eyechips and Chloi’s are that of a dark glittery emerald. She is wearing black eyeliner with a kitten flick along her upper lashline and her waterlines are also black rimmed. On her upper lid she is wearing five dark brown drawn-on lashes that have a white shadow each. On her lower lid there are seven black drawn-on lashes, which have a little bit of dark orange shading. My personal highlight is the pastel-green eyeshadow on her upper lid. The crease is accentuated with metallic brown. And those brows! This girl got some wild eyebrows on her: They alternate between drawn-on hairs in dark and red brown and are very thin at the ends.

Pullip Chloi's eyelids are really unique and fab!

Her eyelids are a muted shiny blue-green and she has black lashes. Chloi’s lips are phenomenally pink and glossy. Again a favorite in my collection! They look great with her green eyeshadow and orange blush under her cheekbones.

Like Clara's, Chloi's wig is amazing!
Chloi’s wig is amazingly pretty!

Chloi’s wig is the same as her sister Clara’s. She has two layers of even cut bangs in the front and long straight her in the back that has a lot of volume. The color is a very dark brown that looks almost black. It is very beautiful! The only negative thing I can think about, is that it sheds a little-but after all this wig is seven years old.

The stock-outfit is mainly out of grass green satin and black lace. Like Clara’s dress, the sleeves are separated from the dress. The puffy part on the shoulders is out of shiny grass green satin that is all covered in black lace with golden threads. Towards the hands, they only consist out of the lace.

Without the sleeves, the dress looks more modern!

The sleeveless dress is grass green, black and furthermore prone to slide down her body. The bustline is embellished with black sequins. The top half of her bodice is covered in black tulle and there is a black bow out of ribbon with a bead in its middle. The rest of the bodice in the front and back is covered in black lace with golden threads. There is more black ribbon cross-tied in the front. The skirt is quite complicated: In the middle of the front are five ruffles out of the green fabric and each has its own hemline out of black lace. The first three only have one black bow with translucent bead in the middle, while the last two have two of the same bows on each side. The rest of the skirt has a longer outer layer that has a small section of five layers out of black lace to the left and the right of the mentioned green part of the skirt. The rest is out of black lace with golden threads that is also decorated with roses out of the grass green satin near the hemline. The dress closes in the back with velcro and under the skirt she is wearing a longer underskirt out of black tulle.

Infamous choker!
Infamous choker!

I am torn, if I like her choker or not. In the front there is one of the green satin-roses, but it sits in the middle of lime green furry fluff, which does not look the best in close-ups. The rest is quite nice out of ruffly black tulle with golden beads sewn on its middle. The choker ties with black ribbon around her neck.

The cute and unique headband!
The cute and unique headband!

This style continues, when looking at her bunny-themed headband: The main material is grass green satin, which is completely covered in black lace with golden threads. In the front it has a larger solely black piece of lace sewn on and it is meant to be tied behind Chloi’s neck with black ribbon. Attached to the headband are two bunny ears, who are framed with black sequins and have lime-green furry fluff sticking out under them. I think that the style of the headband is quite cute, but it does not stay in place and likes to slide off.

Instead of showing just the bag: Here is Chloi right next to it!

Lika Clara, Chloi is carying her own carnival purse, who is out of the same green satin and black with golden threads lace. The handle is out of golden beads and it has another green satin rose in the front. There is also more of the green fluff, a thin golden bow and a bow out of black ribbon. The handbag is not functional and stuffed with soft, squishy material. I made a close-up of the rose and fluffiness, but I will spare you from it!

I simply love the color and style of her shoes!
I simply love the color and style of her shoes!

She wears simple black panties and stockings with black polka dots that have black lace on top of them. Chloi wears the same type of shoes as her twin, but of course hers have the perfect color for her outfit and are a metallic lime green. I really love them and they fit her really well!

She's going to hang out with her fellow green buddy Gelatoni now!

When buying any pair of dolls or other things, there is inevitably always the question, which one you prefer. First of all, if anybody is able to find one of the twins, I can wholeheartedly recommend them. Their stock may seem a little out of date, but the dolls themselves are breathtaking. Their wigs feel so real that I had to look up, if Groove ever used real hair in their wigs (the answer is no). The more unique Pullip out of the two would have to be Chloi, simply because of her face-up and because there are more pink-themed dolls.

Are you interested in older releases?

Thank you so much for reading!
